Yes Bandit the food stalls were still there one week ago, but you cannot buy any alchoolic beverages in Seven Eleven after one Ù clock I think - sad I know.
Herman, I think the ex shark will reopen with a live band, because they were not able to find any available license for disco to sell in Phuket.
But as the same owners did before in Tiger discotheque, they will quickly make disappear the live band, and then use the service of an " extra alien dj " - why not you ?

Bangla and 2nd Road after 2am is all too often an ugly site! I hate to say this, but I will, Patong is a better place if that area is cooled off! I'm not opposed to late night bars hours but seems there is too much trouble at that location. Fighting, drugs, abuse of women...all really bad. Right now...shut it down!

I was living for the last 3 years in Patong, was partner in 2 big bars on Bangla road, and I have to aggree that the place is no so safe after 2 in the morning.
Yes, the situation became worse and worse during the last two years.
Drugs, I think same level Samui, and Pattaya, but many many working girls are consumers.
Girls abused, heard about it when the us navy there.
Fighting, especially in VIP and Safari disco, where " southern frenchmen with accent " go.

Good idea Jimmy, but I think if you go in holidays in Spain, Italy, France, Cuba, Usa Ö, the nightplaces don't close at 2 am, and you will feel quite safe.
In Patong, fighting is at 90% declared by algerian/maroccan/tunisian french, and only in some places like VIP and Safari, the rest of Patong including Bangla road, and front beach are safe.

Yes I escaped from "metro-boulot-dodo" from France, and I am very happy to live in ThaÔland.
My hometown is Biarritz, on the atlantic ocean, near Spain.
It is not the marseille's mafia which make problem in Patong, only some people we call " beurs " in France, who come here to put the same sheet they do in my country.
