I'm going to be at this resort next month with my wife. is anyone familiar with the area? Is there a bar or a massage place close by where I could sneak off for some ST action or at least a massage with a happy ending? Wuld appreciate advice.

If you walk out the front entrance and turn right about a 10 minute walk there are some bars on either side of the main road. One bar on the left called the farang bar had a few babes. There is a little "guest house" nearby also a room is about B300 and the girl B1000.

I got long time for B1000, Im sure you could get less but cant be bothered arguing too much.

If you are asking about the Arcadia room, I am using Hilton HHonors points so its free and that's why I'm staying there. If you have the points its a great deal at 10,000 points/night. If I was paying in january I think it would cost $250 or so a night.

If anybody paid $250 to stay at the Arcadia hilton they must be nuts. !
Most I would pay to stay there would be $70 its a monster and impersonal. There are much better hotels and the Conrad will be opening next year in Panwa keep your HH points for there will be a great hotel.
Only problem it is far away from Patong, but the people who stay there will not be the Patong type !

The Hilton Arcadia is having its grandopening tonight with a 2 day party. I was invited to stay there 2 nights for free. I checked in, took one look at the room and decided I would be more comfortable at home.
To be fair to the Hilton they have done a reasonable job of renovating the place but they started with a pretty crappy product. I would say that US$70/night was a fair price prior to renovation and maybe US$120 is about right post renovation.
As of now the renovation is NOT complete.
Somewhere like Kata Beach resort is a better hotel in a better location.
As for popping out for a quick shag - easiest is to go to the soapy Christin's. The extra time it takes to get there (it is 10 to 15 minutes) from the hotel will be made up by the fact that you dont have to look around, chat up a girl and then find a hotel.
