I have stayed in pretty cheap places in Patong, the Bungalows at the back of Soi Lion, the Orchid on San Sabai, but this December I am about to splurge on the Patong Resort, which seems perfectly located adjacent to Bangla Road. The low-rise rooms closest to Bangla look (from the outside) pretty clean and new, and it seems like a 2 minute walk from the action on Bangla. Anybody have experience there? It's kind of pricey, at a ludicrous 3500 baht, but if the place is really comfortable, what the hell. Any advice, tips, field reports will be appreciated. If you guys talk me out of it, I might try the C&N instead. Is that the better choice?
