Coming to Phuket from NYC with a good friend next month who has never been to Asia and current updates and insight on Phuket. Will be staying in Patong at Lamai Guesthouse. I saw on another post that LT was 1500. What are the barfines now? I have not been back since 06'.
I was born in Thailand but grew up in the states and have been back 7 times since 03'.
Looking for good seafood and Thai food as well at a decent price and may want to check out the zoo and do some snorkeling.

Was in Phuket about 3 weeks back, Barfines vary, the Beer Bars are usually 300 to 400, the Go Go's 600-700.
LT, yea sure you can get 1,500 LT BUT not sure I would want what that buys usually. 2K LT seems more the norm.
FL's whom, there are many in Tiger, Taipan & Rock City will usually go for 1,500 LT.

Great as always, the weather was kind to me! Lots of Europeans around this time of year & the Bars whilst busy where not uncomfortably so! Next visit in 3 weeks!

The one thing I do like about Phuket is that the Swedes love it there, and thus I am able to avoid them in most other places in Thailand. Nothing personal, I'm just allergic to drunk vikings.

More likely to find them in Krabi which also has a high proportion of Danes!
