Hi, I'll be in Phuket for the first time in May. My choice of hotels are Royal Paradise or Patong Resort. Any comments about either hotel will be appreciated. Are they also guest friendly? tks

a little off topic,but Tsunami will forgive me i hope.

some members have read of my experience in a gay bar close to Royal Paradise(don't worry folks,i have'nt turned the other way) and i have another story to share.
i took a girl to her village and we stopped off in BKK and stayed 2 nights in a hotel just near Patpong.
one of the nghts we were given a room overlooking the main road and it was non-smoking.
being a smoker this was a pain,but could'nt be bothered to ask for a change of room and as the windows were easy to open,i just stood there blowing my smoke into the nighttime.
the hotel is off the road and next to it was a building which may have been part of the hotel complex,but i don't think so.
while gazing out the window,i noticed a few young Thai men walking around this other building's rooftop terrace and presumed it was some sort of a health club.
they were very toned body wise and just wearing little towels to protect their modesty.
then i noticed non Asian males walking around and then the fun began.
there were a lot of massages being given and holding of hands and little cuddles.
i was intrigued.
called my lady to the window and we watched the developments.
we watched as much fondling,kising and then full gay sex followed.
each to their own,not my scene and i said to her that's enough,let's go out and get some food.
no way,she wanted to watch and i had a hard job to drag her away from the window.
what surprised me was that a place like this was so close to the hotel and the activities were available for anyone to view.
i have no problem with it but,it could be a young child watching it all.
