Me too  very sad. Especially revcently I had the impression that the different beer and 'lao' brands were trying hard to make dresses more sexy...
I also believe that this kind of ban will detsroy more jobs than only the beer girls', as in the advertising and merchandising industry.

I couldn't bring up the link--'not found'--for some reason, but I know the gist of it. This will make so many of the places I enjoy going to dinner at (many large Isan and Moo Gataht style outside restaurants, Lumpini Night Bazarre) 5000 times less enjoyable. I am grieved and aghast.
Since I don't seem to be able to bring up the link, may I ask what is the reasoning behind driving away these seraphims?
And PS, common knowledge, many of those "beer cheer" girls already ARE in p4p, but in a more subtle style of courtship and the illusion of a date first.

Hmmm..... Looks to me like a 'correction' was made to this new regulation, before it even had a chance to go into effect.
Besides, I already figured out sufficient ways to get around it, if one were so inclined - but I would take the disappearance of the link as a good omen that as did the link, so did the regulation.
Also, looks like there's another similar law in the works - banning the use of alcohol brands on non-alcoholic beverages (i.e. SINGHA water may not call itself SINGHA, because of the beer connection).
