Getting a Passport is usually very easy, provided the girl has a Thai ID Card and other documents as already mentioned.
The REALLY difficult part is getting her a Visa to a Western Country.

Let us assume for a second that you are born in some village near Mae Sot or Chaing Rai. Dirt streets - One TV down at the little shop that sells ice etc.
Let us assume your parents can neither read nor write Thai. Let us further assume that you were born at home rather than in a hospital.
Yeah you might have some kind of problem establishing your status.
In Thailand - like lots of western countries - the hospital where you were born records your birth. When the time comes for your parents to add you to
their Ta Bien Baan they can get a copy from that hospital. ALL THAI'S KNOW THIS.
Once you are on someone's TA Bien Baan it is a simple matter to move elsewhere & switch to a different Ta Bien Baan. You are right to say that an ID card
(which kids get at 16 YO) is to be carried by all Thai's at all times. It is needed to open a bank account - get a telephone etc.
The people you so obviouly feel concerned about are undoubtedly from Kam-Pu-Cha or Lao. 3rd option Purma.
Let us go back to the original case. Every village has a Kaman (please correct me if I am wrong here) - Translation - Village Headman. He will have noticed your Mother's pregnancy - during the 9 months she carried you. Should the local Ampur have a problem with whether you are a Thai or not the Kaman will testify - that yes he knows your Mother - & you, by God, are Thai.

U know that very well but twist my words around and shoot at the pianist to save ur untrue statement that "all thais have a house registration = Bien Baan".
I say not all TH are in that case because of the corrupt Kafkian burocratic regime they live under, a regime in which power is massively abused and where little people with a minimum wage (let alone homeless beggars) have in practise no real recourse to an independent judge.
Oh Dotcom...about the illegal alliens in TH yes ur right on that one : they come from outer space.
