Handing her 10k upon arrival & saying - here hon this is 5 days wages in advance is not a good idea. She will view that money as a tip also & she will expect you to give her the customary 2k per day in addition.

Remember that when feeling financially sorry for a girl who sleeps all day, drinks all night and is in the top percentage of wage-earners.
Then again, my secretary does not choose to sleep with guys for money, this difference is why your girl makes a lot of money.

Actually I thought that was a bit funny too as when I asked her to go originally from farangland she said yes then no and then when I was there and asked her about her passport she didnt have it. Then the morning of the day I was heading off she had a abrupt cange of heart at breakfast and made a mad dash back to her apartment and returned with passport and looking very good.
Recently she topld me that she had her mobile phone stolen [shortly after I sent her a good bit of baht - I use western union BTW] however at the time I rang the number and it seemed she was telleing truth as indeed the phone was out of action. then after she gave me her new number all was fine until a goood while later [a month PLUS] I phoned using the new number and when it was not getting through for a laugh I rang her old number. LO and Behold she answered and told me she had changed the sim card! Frankly I didnt care about getting the new phone just thought it was silly to lie about it.
Anyway now the old number is the one that works but the new one doesnt.
I guess I am a fool after all.

Whoever made the point about these girls being in the top 5% of income earners in Thailand is spot on. Jeez, I even have lawyers in my place earning less than 20,000 when they start.
I met my TGF on the internet. She's not a bar girl, and neither have I ever paid her for sex (ok, ok, I know all the arguments that's it's more expensive that way.) In fact, I dated her on two or three business trips to bangkok and we never slept together. I wanted to get to know her first.
Then I moved to Bangkok and started to know her more. I f***ed around with a few girls, none of whom made me feel like the King she makes me feel. At one stage I was seeing 4 girls at once and life was far too full.
Then I stopped it overnight. I called the other three and said I can't see them again. I'm devoting my time to F, the original.
When I met her she was working in a restaurant, making around 4500 a month plus tips. She felt no need to work in a bar, although many of her best friends are bar girls. One of her best friends is sponsored by an American guy for - wait for it - 200,000 a month, and this friend still feels the need for another bf here in Bangkok. I ask F about that and, sweet natured that she is, she shakes her head and says: "But Kevin, she is good girl, but have many plobrems. I love her."
As a waitress, she saved 1000 a month so she can go back to university to finish her degree.
After spending 6 months to get to know her, and three months living in the same country, I'm now seeing her most days of the week. And because I see her as my girlfriend and now trust her, I've started to help her. I've just paid her tuition fees to return to university and I've said I'll cover all her living expenses etc and am giving her an allowance so she doesnt have to work and can study fulltime.
Am I sponsoring her? I don't know. Maybe, but I've put numerous tests her way, and she's not let me down yet. I consider her a gf, and as such I want her to be happy and comfortable. If I'm with her still in another three months, I can see that I'll be asking her to move into my place with me. And that will be another story altogether.

Sure first time I came to Thailand I me and my friend rented a "limo" MB from Thai Airways from the airport and we got for 8 ours with driver and girl to show us around. I got the guide back for some late night talk 
I can not say that all guides will do this. And now I am way of topic and thats your fault hehehhe.

Just wondering what can I read into the fact that she actually has a visa card.
It is one of those kind that does not give credit but requires money to be in the account.
It just struck me that a poor girl from issan may not be the most likely person to have one of these cards?
