I cheated!
I met these girls, and others, in the USA when they were there on a work-study program.
Since then, have kept in contact with them via MSN (their English, both written and oral, is excellent), and meet up with them every time I come over. I've never forked over a dime.
I actually know many more than the 2 I mentioned. 5 days ago met up with 2 Uni Grad students from Midohl (not quite sure of the spelling), who took me to the floating market just outside of Bangkok, paid for the river boat cruise, and paid for all the food. Once again, they didn't want any money. And, one of them is about 9 1/2 on the "bar girl" scale. I'll be meeting up with them again before I leave.
And, I have a tentative date with 3 others from Thammasat for Thursday. One of them is about a 7 in looks but a 12+ in energy. Wonder if I can separate her from the pack?
To top it all off, several of them are coming back to the USA for 3 months starting March. I've almost convinced a couple of them to stay at my house for the duration. We will see. 
I'm meeting the 2 I originally mentioned in about 3 hours. Maybe I will post a report - maybe not.
Maybe the most important thing in this thread for forum members to take away is that there are MANY different experiences you can have in Thailand. Don't take your typical "bar girl" experience and translate it into "that they way all Thai Girls are".
Oh, and one of the girls I'm meeting today is a 10+, excellent english skills, cute and innocent, just turned 21 (I was at her parent's house for her birthday), with a rich family that owns 5 houses in their own town, 2 in Bangkok, owns 3 cars (2 mercedes, use to be 4 cars until my girl crashed one of them). Where is she from? Issan.

RIT, fully understand and agree, been there done that (at home, 20 ys. ago 555) Unfortunately Uni girls/GTG are no (sane) option for a married man in his 50ies... (from my point of view, dunno about their's... and there parent's 555)
Maybe I could give it a go for some of the still sexy mid or even late 30ies... Actually I keep an eye on one masterpiece of that kind already...

Who says uni TGs are not an option for us old codgers...just depends on how you approach the situation.
A couple of weeks ago Oldtimer had a very pretty Starbucks girl who goes to uni part time offer to go with him to Phuket over Christmas..sorry that he had family down and thus couldn't accomodate her. Instead she went home to Issan. We will connect again.
And as for MBK, Oldtimer dated a 23 year old hairdresser he met there about four years ago. Don't normally visit the place these days except when Oldtimer need needs specs.
Ther are bar lassies and even GTG's girls all over the place who don't mind dating an old farang if one treats them right. For example, Oldtimer's grand children might be have been somewhat shocked to see him at a hip hop place last evening with Electric Blue lassie. But, of course, don't move too fast with a GTG...there has to an angle...Oldtimer also avoids GTG parents who would actually be younger than him.

Sounds like your having fun and getting to know Thailand from a different perspectve.
I've known many guys from the US that escorted normal girls back to Thailand to meet their family and friends, but all of them came up dry when it came to sex. From my experience, if I wasnt able to have something more then friends in the US, then it remained that way in Thailand. In every case, the girl wants to show her family that she knows descent people in her new country and all of them spent money on me.
It is a different angle, just dont expect too much when it comes to sex. Leave that for the bargirls...

actually having fun of a physical nature is definitely possible with non P4P girls. Girls are girls anywhere in the world and if you treat them right and they like you anything is possible. I did relate my experience with a professional sales lady who was looking for a good time some time ago and it has kind of developed into a steady relationship since my return visit to see her. now armed with more confidence to approach non P4P ladies, I have tried chatting up shopping mall sales staff, waitresses in restaurants, bystanders at the BTS staion and 6 out of 9 times I got their phone numbers. Upon coming home I have followed up on one of them and the chemistry is looking good. the faint hint of bedtime rewards is in the air, I can smell it! LOL
Yup it may take a bit of an investment in terms of time and commitment but I am liking it so far as the returns are great like in the special things a girl who really likes you would take the trouble to do just to make you smile. I dont see the possesive and manic side of Thai girls that I have often heard about (who knows maybe its just a bargirl thing!) and I dont think I will from these ones that I know. So I totally agree with RIT that encounters with Thai girls come in so many flavours other than the P4P scene. Its like this in many other parts of the world with regards to the dating scene, its just that in Bangkok things seem to develop at a much quicker pace. Its kind of like a city on steroids or something! :) ok cheers out.
