If they were decent looking I'd suspect them of being thieves & just quoting a low price to get into your bedroom.
1,500 for an ST is ridiculous, now I know why I stay out of SC/NEP/PP
well, the real reason is the drink prices after dark, it's just silly. If I saw some gal I really really wanted then I'd pay 1,500 for ST, but during the course of looking for her I'm paying out the nose for drinks, NO thanks !

It's so true, the cost in Bangkok has increased quite a bit, due to physical price increases and exchange rates, I recall going out 10yrs ago with 6,000 B (90GBP) for a night with mates and it would be plenty for beers, a BJ in a bar, more beers and then whiskey, and then a babe for LT. These days closer to 10K is spent which currently equals 200GBP, now that's inflation !
Still fun, but I don't dabble as much as I used too, both age and sense caught up with me....well almost !
I think your taxi deal was more than fair, I wouldn't grumble at that.

Never been asked for money upfront by a Thai working girl and frankly, if it happened, she would get 500 baht placed in her hand and politely shown the door instantly (assuming we had already arrived at my place).
And for the record, I have never, nor would I ever in a million years even remotely entertain the idea of paying for sex anywhere in the world besides Southeast Asia.
