I have dated numerous "normal" Thai ladies. Some remain friends today. Have had nice dinners to nice intimate evenings.
If you want to see someone--hook up with someone in BKK. This lady is going somewhat far to meet you--is building up a lot of hope around you. If you do feel this may lead to something then by all means pursuit it.
If you are going to see her do it at the beginning of your trip--You want your final days in LOS on your own.

Why are you really coming to Thailand? is it your first trip?
If you are coming here on leisure time and to relax, my advice would be to NOT meet that girl, at all.
Do the Bargirls, the Freelancers, a soapy, an Oily... Enjoy your BKK Time to the fullest and forget about relationships with a Thai girl.
These girls are sweet but they demand so much energy... they will f*** with your head and play games, stick around your hotel lobby, pay the security guard to know if you come back with girls....
Don't let that shit spoil your holiday, stay away from regular girlfriends... seriously.

Yes it's my first time in BKK.
Actually, it's my first trip to go by myself to ENJOY.
I guess the whole idea of meeting a normal girl and seeing her to have fun was a little off the mark.
I will take your advises "THANKS EVERYONE"
I'll just have to tell her that I'm gonna drop my plans due to work and blah blah....
I'm afraid if I do meet this girl at BKK and turns out to be not so great, I'm gonna go soft-hearted and not be able to send her back home 
So, I won't do it in the first place.
Better not to do then regret...right guys?

... for me, I've never allowed a normal Thai girl to get close enough to latch-on, but I have friends who have suffered that problem... in the worst cases (involving longer term Thai girl friends), it is the stuff of Kafka-esque nightmares... some of the members here have suffered that ugliness.
... alternatively, a Thai bar girl's grip on your arm is largely directly proportional to the amount of money coming out of your wallet and into hers... once you know the game, it is very possible to have with a Thai bar girl a nice "girl friend experience", understanding that it is what it is... a nice illusion for you... a chance to again be young and virile and studly... a role in which some Thai girls are VERY practiced.
Consider:
(i) the newer Thai bar girls probably harbor that Knight in Shining Armor dream (I'd avoid them if you've a soft heart, as their sad stories are very real and very compelling) ;
(ii) some of the less hardened of the Thai bar girls are good companions in that role (but, they know the reality) ; and,
(iii) the hardened ones will wring out you (and your wallet), and unceremoniously dump you like yesterday's newspaper.
... they will all understand why you are in Thailand... no surprises for them... you should find something in that mix that will meet your needs.

I guess each one of us has a different experience. I have been coming to Bangkok for nearly twenty years now. For almost eight years, I had a Thai girl as my constant companion. She would take care of all my needs without any extra expectations. Of course, I was polite and gentle with her. But never did we discuss any financial or family issues. And I did not pay her any extra money for her time with me. Sometimes, she would even forgo that if I was on short trip. Finally, we parted company as she got married. She is now a happily married girl with two kids. Once in a while, she sends me a message talking about her new life after marriage and has not ever expressed a desire to spend time with me "for old times' sake".
The bottom-line remains that regardless of what we think of Thai ladies a, treat them with respect and they will do the same to you. No extra demands and no expectations either.
