The last time I was there kissing in public I would say is a no no.
Kissing in the privacy of your own room is ok but the deep tongue I would say is also a no no. I personally never liked the deep tongue anyway. These girls IF they deep french you are only doing it because YOU are the farang paying customer and trying to adapt to your farang ways.
Personally I think when in Rome do as the Romans do.
If Thai girls don't like to kiss...then don't try and kiss em. Let the girl take the lead on what she like to do. in this situation. Look at the body language if you slowly lean in for a big mushy kiss.

i totally disagree.
have had many shows of affection in public,kissing being a good thing.
and as for tongues?,never found a problem with that either.
and i find most of them initiate it.

Nokna, yep but deepends on the girl and where.
Al, adapt can also be learning. I kind of like Thai/Laos kiss also. Very nice breathing in a person's smell. But Most of my close friends get pretty excited with some nice foreplay includoing deep kisses. But to each his own.

I also totally disagree that thai woman don't like kissing. Where the hell did you pick that one up?? Sure, maybe BG's don't like kissing, but that's because it is too intimate for them if you're not a bf or something (and the other issues of it just not being clean or something).

Secondly I didn't say they didn't like kissing. I said kissing in public was usually a no no.
Then I said IF.....they don't like to kiss... (meaning the individual girl)
I didn't mean to imply that no Thai girl likes to kiss. That would be a silly statement to make.

Thai girls in general do like french kissing. I think everything depends on how good you CLICK to each other. Nothing more, nothing less....However, you better do it in private since kissing in public is not polite in Thai culture.
It's true that we could see few farangs kissing their bar girls while waiting a taxi or at a shopping mall, but this behavior raises bad comments from the locals. My Thai female/male friends gave bad comments the times we got a chance to see a farang grabbing their bar girls and kissing them on the streets/open bars/beer gardens, etc. Same thing with my Thai colleagues. This is a fact, not a guessing.
If you are just a foreigner coming here for a short visit probably you won't bother on waiting to be at your room to grabb/kiss your TG but, for the residents, myself included, who often go to certain places this issue of kissing in public is definitely not a good move.

Got my 100% agreement with you there Pinga.....
I always note the negative comments when I obsverve it....it maybe done in Patong Beach where there are less Thai's of virtue......but in a Bangkok shopping Mall definately not acceptable in Thai Society.

Read again......I didn't say that Thai's there are of less virtue....I said the are fewer Thai's of virtue, and by virtue I refer to proper Thai standards, not the rules of the bar scene.
If you think Patong is representative of Thai values then you really need to rethink...and whether you like it or not Thai people of any standing do not consider the BG's to have ANY virtue at all....most of my Thai friends think of any BG's as a social disgrace....like it or not that is fact.
In fact I would probably lose friends if they knew I occassionally visit such places.
Kissing in public does not make anyone a bad person, and there are many BG's I'd consider to be nice people.....BUT IT IS NOT ACCEPTABLE IN POLITE THAI SOCIETY!!
Personally Nokna as nice a bloke as you seem to be, you write great FR's and treat people well, you do seem to have your head in the clouds sometimes.
