The reason I said I disagreed with "the way" in which Pinga phrased his post, because it clearly implies to me that he thinks bargirls should not encouraged or even allowed to view these pages. Trying to hide the fact that we're talking about them makes our motives suspicious and calls into question our ethics (what are we hiding?).
I especially find questionable the part where he mentions that a girl might track a reviewer down. As I said before, if you're giving away so much personal info that she can positively identify you (especially if it is negative) then you've said too much. I would always stand behind whatever I say here about a girl.
I have no problem with telling a girl that you heard about her from a friend (it may be the friend is on the internet, she doesn't need to know that). The reason for doing so is somewhat selfish, though. It is far more honest (and doesn't directly harm the girl) to say that you read her name on the internet. If she wants to pursue it, that's up to her. Some girls may not appreciate that you're an "internet guy" and if they've been burned in the past they might take it out on you.
Again, feel free to choose to tell her what you want. Of course, if you don't tell her that it was on the internet then you've completely invalidated the study. In which case, why even bother telling her anything?

Okay. I see what you meant now. Though, I don't think that any of us want to so-called hide the forum because I don't think we are doing anything wrong or suspicious.
I think what is happening is that some members are using information posted in the forums in a juvinile fashion. Seems like some have even used the information to try create problems for members, embarrass the female, or to try to get a low price. So ... there is a dilema on how and what to post.
I think that "if" the forum is more of a closed area, for members to share information that stays relatively in the forum ... so to speak, then more truefull and informative information will be posted. If not, then the forum might turn into a generic posting area, where names, locations and prices are no longer posted infear of some female getting all bent.
I do agree that whatever a member posts should stand by what they say, as well as pass the "smell" test.
I know there is no one solution that will solve this problem, but hopefully if the members act responsible, then there won't really be huge issues.

I fully agree with one thing that both Chompoo and ABC have said; anything I put on this forum I should be (and am) willing to stand by. There may be things I would PREFER that certain people didn't know I posted but that's on me isn't it? If I "get caught", whose fault is that?
Generally, I'm not ashamed of anything I say here or in public but if something comes back on me or I wind up feeling like I shouldn't have said something -- that's just as well. I learn from it and hopefully adjust my behavior accordingly.
I also agree with Chompoo that the idea that this forum should be kept somewhat secret is both impractical and...I don't know...kinda' creepy.

I do think that some sort of balance has to be struck when discussing the information on this board.
I will say things about a tg in so-called privacy on this board that I would not say to her face. But .. I also would not deny saying it either and would stand by my comments. But ... if a member would take my comments and inform the tg, then in my book that is a breech of trust that we place in each other when posting.
An example being:
I think the tg is kinda on the plump side and wears ugly cloths. I would never tell the tg that I think she's a little fat and that her cloths don't look good. But ... I might post it here, just so a member would know what she looks like.
The internet does allow "free" access to information 24 x 7, so trying to keep this forum a secret is no possible. Unless BK starts charging and then access will be limited. Secret is not the best word, but maybe the forum should be kept more private?? Private meaing if the tg becomes a member and reads the information on her own, then so be it. But .... a member should not point out to the tg that she's being talked about in the forum.
Maybe???

Though, again, this is not a black and white issue. The obvious example being the legendary Saeng. She apparently knows and is happy with her celebrity status. Someone else brought up Khun Gaow. In some ways it would be great if there would be a lot of girls participating in the board as Gaow did and even more info and insight were exchanged benefitting both the brothers and the ladies. But of course then we would lose the ability to keep things just between us guys...
Anyway I'm getting drawn into this circular discussion and I don't want to be!

I think there is a lot of "violent" agreement here, just people expressing it in different ways.
Also, re-reading my post, I see I may have been a little hard on Simon and was a fair amount more sarcastic than I needed to be. I didn't intend to be so negative, I was just having a bit of "fun" with it from a statistical point of view. Sorry Simon and I'm glad you did not take it the wrong way.
That having been said, other than the last line, I couldn't agree more with your second post! As for the last line, as Chompoo mentions, it might be interesting although not very meaningful statistically but if done as a preface for writing an FR about a given woman the statistical validity is there because then a population of one has relevance.
As for others of you, Chompoo and MrJoe, I may not agree with 100% of the WAY you explain your various points but do 100% agree with the intent I extracted from them.
ABC - "some female getting all bent" But, I thought that was their job and reason for being on this earth. No? ;) Seriously though, closing the forum to "members only" creates two separate logistic problems, how to determine who to let in as well as how to determine who to keep out. Good idea, just not practical. The rests of your posts, agree!

I may addd one more thing....
In my understanding, this site became a BOOM mainly cos of the Field Reports and descriptions of services provided by certain girls, bars, etc and of course, cos of the recommendations on certain girls at certain places.
This WAS OK for so long time. Unfortunately, we got few bastards that have been screwing the info and I already post about this. See the following link....
INFORMATIVE POST: taking advantage of them
Chompoo, the info provided on those days was OK and we didn't get any problem for long time. All the shit of what to post and what to not just came recently cos of the misuse of the info by few bastards who were taking advantage of them.....
So, the fact was that WE WERE POSTING DETAILED FIELD REPORT without any single problem....till now.
My thoughts on this issue can be found in the link above. I truly believe that a Field Report can be done with the same level of details but hidding the identity of the girl. That's it. As I said to NOKNA in a PM: B-girl identity + place of work + detailed field report is NOT a good cocktail.

The mechanism for private communication between interested members of this board already exists. ÝIt is called PM.
While I have stated that I personally find such detailed discussions kind of crude and classless, I think that having them between like-minded acquaintances, in private, is quite a bit less potentially damaging than on an open, public forum.
As for the cases of Mistress Gaow and Saeng, they have undoubtedly benefitted from the publicity. ÝMight have been nice if they, as equal human beings, had the opportunity to approve or reject the exposure, before the fact. ÝBut arguing that it is OK to post anyone's personal info because it benefitted a particular poster is like saying that it is OK to fire a shotgun into a crowd, because at least ONE person didn't get hit, and even got some kind of payoff from the ensuing publicity.
The word 'hypocrite' has been bandied about extensively hereabouts. ÝI find those who use pseudonyms to post their private predilections and protect their identity, and then insist on making their non-consenting providers' identities public, the HEIGHT of hypocrisy.
