And I have seen many more of them go right.....From cases known to me...far more success than failure....but the successes don't bleat on about it on Stickmans site......
However I have seen people become jaded here and never come back after years in residence / visiting.....their loss.

I think whether farang/Thai relationships go right or wrong depends to a large extent on prior expectations. Actually, the same could be said of any male/female relationships. They often fail because the weight of expectation is unrealistically heavy.
Thais (like farang) have weaknesses as well as strengths - I mean culturally as well as individually. Don't expect what you're not going to get, and you won't be disappointed.
As for trying to take Thailand out of your TG... to me that just seems like an act of wanton vandalism. (Attempted vandalism, anyway, as the attempt will almost certainly prove futile).

To take Thaland out of a TG defeats the purpose, you don't want to take it out. The question is whether you can help her nurture it in a foreign culture/climate or whether it dies because she gets lonely, homesick and miserable.

Well I certainly don't, but perhaps - conceivably - some guys do. They want a farang who looks like a TG.
More likely, they want a TG who can combine all the best features of both Thai and farang females and never stop to ask whether these qualities may be incompatible.

I don't think this changes...I came LOS first time -89 and after second trip 10 months later I have been hooked  and do not even want to anywhere else.

A passing phase Nahh!!!!!
I remember four years ago after much persuasion by my mate agreeing to go with him to Thailand. I told him this is a one off visit. Now 4 years and 14 visits later I am in the process of planning my next visit.
My second visit was only six weeks after my first. The only reason I haven't moved yet is because I need to find a job that will pay me at least half of what I earn in the UK.
So I would be looking at a salary of at least 100,000 THBT per month. A bit unachievable don't you think.
