I will be in BKK for my first visit in 2 weeks. I'm plannung to hire a girl to stay with me and show me around the city for full week. ÝI was told that it will probably cost me around $150 - 200. Is this number real or too low? What is the good place where I will be able to make such an arrangment?

Too low unless you want a scrubber.
Barfines alone run at 10-12USD (400-500Baht) per day and any half reasonable TG Ýbar Ýgirl (non Go Go) will want 24 -29USD (1000 to 1200Baht) per 24 hour day.
Average 38USD per day for Bar Girl category, plus food, entertaiment and gifts????????? if the USD doesn't drop any further.
I would bank on a basic cost hire fee USD40 plus per day and then you will be lucky to get one that rates 6-7 out of 10 for looks.
USD 70 plus per day for ÝGo-Go category per day, (3000Baht = 2500 for her and 500 bar fine)

If you find a freelancer in say Beer Garden or Grace Hotel... then you wouldn't have to pay the barfines. 
I am sure there are some girls that would go with you for US$ 200 a week + expenses.

if you look around at the freelancer places without any barfines involved usd 200 might work for a week!
but then again, you are more or less getting a slightly older model with probably not the best looks also!
better and youngre looks will cost you at least double the amount you are prepared to spend!

kosmonavt: just go to CM2, Rivas or Club87 for a nice freelancer. take her longtime and if its going good ask for a weekly rate. i think around Baht 10.000 should be ok plus additional expenses of course.

Hey brother Kos, welcome to the brotherhood. I think you need to clarify exactly what it is you're looking for. I kind of got the impression from your post that maybe all you were looking for is someone to act as a tour guide. cmore: I'm looking for both - since it is my first visit to the city, I want to see Bangkok beyond my hotel's vicinity. So I figure, if I will find girl that I like first day, than I will keep her for the remainder of my trip for pleasure and to be my local tour guide.

Why don't you get a good guide for tourism and a good girl for sex. Rather than try to compromise. Of course, if you can get both in one...go for it. But do not push it. Or else you may end up unhappy on both ends.
