I FEEL YOUR PAIN! I can't add anything new. I am seriously missing a couple of the TGs I met on my first trip to LOS. My only consolation is that the f_cked up return trip has afforded me the ability to head back much faster. I only needed a little nudge anyway.
Depressed back in the states!

1) Love/infatuation etc - is it real when nothing can ever come of it? Of course it is. This stuff never had anything to do with mere tin-pot reality and never will. No point in telling you to get over her, you just will. Try to find something productive to do in the meantime.
2) Guilt. No reason for this whatever. Susceptibility to inappropriate and useless guilt is what makes you a Westerner. As you get older, you'll accumulate things which require genuine remorse and will have less energy to spare on the ersatz variety.
3) Green-eyed monster. I don't think you can ever slay this beast, just fight him to a standstill. If she wasn't involved in P4P, you'd never have met her.
Your problem is being 21, period. None of this stuff ever goes away, you just feel it less acutely as you age and acquire perspective. If you ever get to the point where you don't hurt at all - ie, just don't care - you might as well be a brick.
Best age for a man is undoubtedly 33. You'll note that anyone with any sense, like Jesus Christ or Alexander the Great, took care to drop dead at 33. The only snag with being 33 is that approximately two nanoseconds later you find that you're 40, a catastrophe which was definitely NOT in the script.
Anyway, thanks again for reminding us old codgers that youth is not all beer and skittles.
