As for Ko Samet over Phuket: Everyone agree it's a better place for a two week romantic getaway? How does one get to Ko Samed? Fly or drive to the Rayong and take a boat?

take a bus or a taxi to "Bang Phe". it's a bit after rayong. bus leaves at ekkamai. taxi maybe 1'600 to 2'000.00. then take a ferry.

This can be a tough one, enough to make her happy but also at a level where you are comfortable.
As for the bar fine from midnite I couldn't help you out there but I am sure one of the other bro's will have a more accurate idea.
As for the girl, I would say don't offer her any money up front, if she is going on a trip with you, you will be paying for everything, if she needs to go out and buy something ask her if she has enough money and pay for the food, clothes whatever she wants.
One thing though, expect a trip to the jewellers, I would be very suprised if she doesn't ask you to buy her some gold, for two reasons.
1. It's as good as money in the bank if times get hard.
2. The face value when she returns to the bar is probably worth more to her than the actual gold (look what my boyfriend bought me)
Don't expect to get away with anything less than 2 bar. (this is the measurement of weight for the gold)
Around 7,000 baht per bar plus the fashion charge ( cost to make the gold into jewellery) 500-1000
So now you are in for at least 15,000 baht.
After your two weeks with her and it's time for you to go back home then you could decide whether you want to give her some more money or not.
If you decide not to give her any more because you point out that you bought her the gold, then I think by her reaction you should be able to judge where she is coming from.
If she says she wants money for the two weeks and that the gold was only a gift then you know she was only in it for the money.
If she only asks for a few thousand baht to pay the rent, bills etc. then..............

I paid 1000 baht a day plus the daily barfine when I took my then regular to Phuket for a week (Oct 2003). I discussed the amount before hand and paid at the end. I also paid for everything of course and gave her 1000 baht on the first day as spending money.
I took her business class on Thai from Bangkok to Phuket - her first flight on a plane. She met me at my hotel with a weeks clothing neatly packed in a sack and dressed in her best work clothes - great if we were travelling to the nearest go-go bar pole!! Nothing I didn't expect so it was a quick trip to Sukhumvit for a suitcase and to Robinsons for a top you couldn't see through.
This girl and I had only been together a couple of times before but we were very comfortable together and hence my decision to take her to Phuket ( otherwise like taking sand to the desert ). WE had a great time but be clear on this, what I did I did primarily for my enjoyment and satisfaction not hers.
And sirtitus stop thinking in terms of love Vs money - this is her job - she NEEDS to get paid regardless of how she feels about you - there is a lovely girl at the shop where I regularly buy my lunch - I KNOW she likes me by the way she is with me - yet everyday I hand over money for her services as a customer??!!

sirtitus, always keep this comment from Minder in mind. Remember, you came to LOS one time, spent some time with a beautiful TG that you like very much. The time she spent with you was very special to you and you felt great being with her. It did not feel like you were with a prostitute because the p4p experience in LOS is so different. In LOS, the girls who do a better job are the ones who make you totally forget that you are paying, and make you think that payment has NOTHING to do with why they are there. Don't go into this thinking that she is going with you with no thought of money. You do not have a traditional BF-GF relationship, but it is her job to make it seem like you do. She does her job very well, it appears. For THIS reason, she is a gem and a keeper.
One last thing. Don't make plans that are unbreakable (with her or logistical). Everything changes and you might want to go somewhere else, come back to BKK and spend a few days here doing things that SHE wants (instead of going to the beach, which is what YOU want), etc. Or, you may want to break away and meet someone else who might be even better (I know you don't think this is possible, but trust me, it happens) ! Keep this in mind.

All of this talk about taking the women at Midnite is making my stomach do flip flops!  Damn I wonder if it's my favorite bundle of fun?
Titus there is lots of advice here and some of it is damn good! CG is familiar with taking the Bg out of the bar for some sanuk. He may be a cynical plick, but has his heart in the right place. It is a major leap to take a girl away on a two week vacation after one trip. You will have to make that call.
Aside from the flipant comment by DG it has not been established whether you are in contact with this BG. Do you keep in touch with her? She may not be there when you go back. Many BG tend to move around, she may get taken out of the game by another farang. So it is important to determine if you know where se will be. Otherwise this is all just a mind fluck!
As an aside to CG; how worried are you about me?

Aeroman, yes, I am in contact with her. I've sent and received a couple of e-mails. I've only been back in Korea (I work here) for a week. I've recently bought a calling card for Thailand but haven't called yet because my worktimes are the same as hers and I don't want to bother her at work. I'll wait till later on the week when I have an afternoon off.
Turkish, you figure she'll be looking for some gold? Oh well, I guess that's alright. I'd have done something similar anyway. Guess I'd better start saving!

ColoradoGuy, cheers, man. Solid advice. You know the game very well and I appreciate your cautious, but (no doubt) accurate, imput. I'll be in LOS for the first half of June and, assuming things go nicely, again in the last half of August (going home in between). I wouldn't mind at all meeting up with some of the guys on this forum (yourself included) whose been very helpful and looking out for my best interests, stranger though I may be.
