Riva's (at the Sheraton), Club 87 (at the Conrad on Wireless Rd.) and CM2 are all close to the same price range as Spasso. Q-Bar and Bed almost up there but maybe 10-15% less expensive.
Abrak is right though, you're less likely to hear that horrible BG English from girls picked up at these places.

if you speak better thai then the average farang, what seems to be the problem??
all the girls at orange speak a pretty good english.
in general. most tg's in western style places as mentioned by Abrak will speak a rather good english. irish x-change, dubliners, barbican, o'reillys I would like to add to the list...

I can not tell you about places but I know of 2 girls that can right better english than me (that's not hard) and also can speak very very good english. 1 has a good essex accent as well when she puts it on. 1 is in Angels disco every night and the other hangs around therma every night all night. 1 a big girl the other a small girl with big knokers. for discription and names PM me. I really do not understand why you guys expect so much from Thai girls when you know you are not going to have a serious relationship with any of them ?
To be honest, I am not playing dumb here but I am a Thai girl and I think I am so f_cked up with farang guys who come up to me and pretend to treat me so good because I can speak english well and bullsh_t all about having a realtionship but... THOSE f_ckING GUYS have wives already !! and the one I knew....... happened to be that type as well !
You guys can say that I was so dumb-ass or..... whatever you can call a young stupid and confident and..geezz.... brainless girl like me !!
But I was 19 and I met this guy at a big gym around SILOM ! and he came and talked to me and asked my phone number and...... I was not trying to be innocent ok ? but yes..i want to know him..BUT without any sexual desire.. I REALLY MEANT IT !
AND YES with my inexpenrience, I fell in love with him.. coz he is a lot older than I am and he is the first guy that I ever woke up with...... and wait ! I ALWAYS PAID MY BILL OR AT LEAST.. I PAID HALF !!
Never love anyone's money...but the conclusion is... my mother found out that I went out with this person and her friend told her that he has a wife......A THAI WIFE.. AND TWO SON...... ONE IS FROM HIS EX WIFE WHO HAPPENS TO BE A THAI MODEL THAT REMARRIAGED FOr the second time Recently....
I really did not know that this kind of tragic story does exist.... it's been two years already....... and I still can remember when he told me straight in the eyes that he does not have a wife and he is not married.....
How could an adult do that ? I am not bullsh_tting here, also I will never blam anyone for this... I think I did make a mistake coz I was young...and I think I HAVE to learn my lessons.......
Just telling you guys my story coz, damn ! it pains me..

That's why I speak Thai to them. That way, I don't have to put up with that. I figured it was just easier to learn their language than to expect them to learn to speak decent English. Nothing to do with their mental ability, just shear laziness on their part. BTW, on one of our bar hopping sessions along Soi 33, CG and I came across a girl in Lucky Luciano, who was using words like "idioms" and "accustomed". We just weren't too accustomed to that.

I've found that in many Soi33 bars, you can find more accomplished English speakers. Certainly not all the girls, but some. You can always ask the mamasan who is the best English speaker in the place, buy her a drink and go from there.
The girl BK spoke of was university educated, likely NoCanDo (but I didn't ask, I'm working on another girl in there) but a real, real sweet, smart girl.
