Again, are those thai girls working a bar or a 7-11? We all probably share the same view if our regular or girl friend was out of a bar. But if she were working as a department store sales clerk and dont even go to bars, it may make a difference as to weather or not one should care what she thinks. Only an opinon...

thank you for all your replies!! i am actually talking about a girlfriend , not a bg. i get the impression that it is a cultural difference for sure. also the post of a "stronger loyality" in both ways makes a lot of sense to me now. one seems to go with the other. concerning my phrase " i had several relationships..." i have to add that they were one after the other with a pause in between. i am not the type of guy to have several girlfriends at the same time. does any one know how i could lighten the jealousy of a thai girl? what would be the right words or action. i somehow have never been able to do it...

How can one lighten the jealousy of a thai girl? With jewlery, preferably gold. This explains the gold shop on every street corner in Thailand. Females, Thai or not all look for security, buy them a house, they feel a lot more secure, lifts them up the social ladder as well. Mercedes Benz, same story, jewlery to a certain extend.

Let me give you the first answer that comes to mind but one that comes from extensive and very painful (even dangerous) experience.
It is not possible. You have to;
A) Find the right girl.
B) Prove yourself.
C)Maybe put up w/ a tiny bit (tho I won't) of pouting and sulking on a RARE occasion, and just be sweet to her for a bit.
If she is the "jealous type" forget it. It has nothing to do with you or what you do. Its her own baggage, let her carry it - with someone else. If not and you appease her, it gets worse. Eventually it escalates to insane levels.
I've seen & heard some scary examples and I've known some "jealous types" of my own; including the worst of them all ( a story that will NEVER be told on this forum)
I've known some who were not;
10 years now without any more than what I described above (pouting/sulking) maybe 3, 4 times (Say for a total of an hour in 10 yrs?). No screaming, no breaking things, no violence, no sucide threats. just love and affection, small misunderstandings...bliss.
And the part about the loyalty still applies. Loyalty is not the other side on the coin of jealousy; it's on the other side of trust.

And one more thing. Some won't like to hear this but...
BGs often have their own issues. Their lives are distinctly lacking in emotional security for a number of reasons, some obvious some perhaps not and there are consequences. This has been discussed by people who study these things and it seems self-evident to me. Think about it.

MrJoe is obviously a wise man. All I would add is that any guy looking for an 'intense' relationship, particularly long term, is from my own experience, more likely to find it with an Asian woman. But at the heart of it will be loyalty, trust and respect. To be sure, for many of us this isn't what we are necessarily looking for when we're having a good time in LOS - but to each his own. But the respect aspect still applies irrespective of the situation, as many posters have commented.

Oh and if I'm going to give good examples I should say I had 2 others GFs in the past that were just as cool as my wife so bros don't think that my wife is TOO rare (hard to find, almost impossible-maybe!) and it's only fair to my ex GFs that I mention that. And it worked the same way with them.
