THE QUESTION IS: Could you or would you be happy to reduce your income to a 1/3, possibly less and be able to stick it out" and if so "for How long"??????????????
Assuming an average GG & BG grosses 30000 & 15000 Baht per month respectively (some a lot more and they manage to spend it all) and then gets a say good(legit) job (say sales, hairdressing, clerical) and then makes, what, a big Ý10000 - 7000 Baht per month.
Could you change to this extreme an still be happy as a male. Answer is, probably NO.
So what makes you think she can and then "not be able to afford the Gucci copy bag" like all her friends can.
She will, more than likely still maintain some contact with some of the old circle of friends, (who by the way have more money, sponsors etc), wont she!!!!!! Eventually she will start to feel poor!! in comparison.
With all that free time at night after her day job finishes and no real amount of money to spend, to do anything!!!!!!!!!!
A bit unrealistic to expect too much change in lifestyle from anyone.

There are possibliities that it may work, 1 in ......,but in the real world of probability & statistical analysis, you have to be a REALIST and ask yourself what is the true probability that it will work.!!
Good luck and best wishes to the thai ladies and to those sponsors who manage it, but I know that for myself personally, I could not come close to surviving on such a pay cut.
The other sure fact is that FINANCIAL arguements or arguements over money, is one of the main factors that destroys relationships, anywhere. Expectations cannot be met!!!

Bro, regarding this money thing... With the humble Thai I speak it is always fun to listen to TGs I see in my town. All they seem to talk about is money, really!
If one is taking his TGF out of the scene he should be a realist and might think of all things that might happen, just to be... prepared.
At last, I agree with you that there is much truth about the saying money being the root of all evil... I wish back the days when we all lived in caves!

That's why people who go on about how hard done by these girls are make me laugh. Of course there are exceptions......but do you ever wonder why Miss Go Go girl's family are still in poverty?...whereas Mr Bangkok Office boy who makes the same 30000B a month are in a nice house and progressing well?....Because a lot of these girls gamble it, waste it, drink it, drug it and generally play Johnny Big Wallets in front of their friends.

agree with the bros comments - of course one thing sometimes overlooked on the forum, believe it or not, by and large, the morals of TGs are very high, the majority of TGs would not go out on a date without a chaperone, and certainly would not go back to a guys room/hotel alone - of course these girls are from the large % that would not normally come into contact with foreigners - .... to actually cross that barrier, and believe me, it is a big one for them, does take some doing, and of course usually some desperation for $$$ - having crossed the line however, then, as mentioned, it is all too tough to go back to the old, "legit' ways, or at least until your looks have gone !

True Marco and we are really not questioning why the girls do it, its perfectly OK by me.
Question is "What real incentive, other than possibly moral value (if they MVs still have real meaning to them at this stage), do the girls have to change their lifestyle back to one which is financially poorer".
I know that I wouldn't and could not think of one good reason why I would turn to a life of stuggle, if I was TG.

Ooooh I haqve much to say on this thread -- which would basically be just further confirmation of what has already been said -- but no time.
For now I will just point out one small thing in my usual pedantic nitpicky way; I be lieve the actual proverb (though it is usually rpeated as above) is: "The love of money is the root of all evil."
Think about it; it's not money that makes people bad but what they are willing to do for it.

For me, if not for self-esteem, it would for the sake of my children.
I imagine the life of a kid when he realizes who is mother is/used to be. Add the judgment and comments of the people who also know. Worse, imagine browsing internet and find on "exploited teens asia" photos of your mother taken 10 years ago !
Most of these girls have or will have kids whose lives have high chances to be f_cked up.
