Dressing neatly earns you respect in Thailand. •This is because it denotes (to some) that you are of a higher station. •Remember, age is also venerated. • Not by everyone or for all things, but certainly in a general sense.
Happyface, one thing to be careful about. •Some guys, about your age, seem to hit a second childhood when they get to LOS. •This is healthy to an extant, as long as it does not make you foolish. •Don't get tricked or fooled by a cunning bargirl 1/3 your age just because she shows you affecion. •

I doubt that they seperate you from the butterflies. It is just that the girls prefer men more smartly dressed.
One of the reasons COULD be tha they think a more smartly (read "better") dressed man will have more money and therefore more likely to leave a good tip at the end of the service. Also maybe in their assessment a more smartly dressed man might be cleaner in terms of personal heigene?
Any opinions on this?

Perhaps worth adding here that my TG always insisted that I wore a more formal shirt rather than polo or tee. She never really explained why but was always insistant. As seubeu says, to some dressing neatly earns respect.
I hope it just isn't because of a bigger wallet.
I always say that I take my time to choose a girl. I think it was OEJ that said that the girl actually chooses you. Thinking it through, I suppose this often happens to me. I wait until a girl shows interest and later comfort with me before taking things further. So yes, the girl is choosing. But this makes for a better experience.

I think that it has to do with everything mentioned. The females want the total package. A nice looking, well mannered, gentleman, that might be able to financially help them out. This does not mean that all only want money, but I am sure that a poor, not clean, no manners man will not get the same attention as what I stated above.
Just my opinion though, since I am a clean, well mannered male. I have no experience in this area!! ha ha ha!!

I was in Thailand at 26 and just went back at 59. As the lady explained to me "older man cares about the woman and the woman can care about him.....younger man cares about himself and women and not the woman. Had a great time and experienced no problems in finding willing companions. Go for it!!!!!!

I am 59 and have no problems with the ladies I agree with the others who suggest you be neatly dressed, also I think you will be successful if you minimize the alcohal consumption and smile, Thai girls love a big sincere smile.
I was at a bar in Pattaya this past March, a man came into the bar using a walker and assisted by 2 younger men who had to lift him unto the barstool The girls were all over him in a flash I am sure he had a wonderful evening!!

Many thanks to all who have responded and given both good and encouraging advice. •In reading the many other topics, I've found answers to most of my other questions about BK and what to expect. I don't think there is another site so straight forward and informative about the subject. Many thanks to BK for your creation. I'am especially impressed with all of you that are willing to share your experiences at such a high level of maturity. (and I don't mean old age) I think I've become addicted as this now the first site I go to when I turn on my computer. I owe it to all of you to share my experiences when I get back, and I will.
