Recommended reading as a few BTF members will attest to, "Private Dancer" by Stephen Leather. A decent read. A Google search will yield the web address. Plus, I do believe that a banner linking to the site is sporadically displayed on the BKK Tonight main web page.
Hooking up with a BG for a long term run IS possible, ya just have to be careful so that you don't end up getting fu*ked while getting screwed.

BigDUSA is correct in a manner of speaking...
but the problem is when you get to LOS and realise just how lovely these girls can be...and believe me, they are lovely...be careful...because they can take your heart away...and everything else with it.
I was, and, in fact am, in the same position as you...i want to marry a TBG/TG...but the general, and excellent advice is to visit LOS a few times and get a feel for it...see what you're up against...and then decide if you want to go for it.
But bear in mind all the possible consequences beforehand...but not wanting to sound too negative...but actually more realistic....whatever you decide to do...the best of luck and forewarned is forearmed....

I wonder where you get your statistics. There are two brothers in this thread alone who seem happy with their Thai BG wives. I'll reserve comment on your own personal situation, but suffice it to say that your perspective may be a little different on this topic than those of us who are willing and able to form long-term relationships with young women who are seeking a way out of a life of prostitution.
Any and all input is certainly appreciated, but it might be more informative to hear from folks who've actually been down this road or know someone who has, as opposed to those whose only interest is in passing judgement on their brothers and their brothers' lovers.

The only thing I can add to this thread is to wonder why anyone who is considering marrying a BG feels the need to seek advice on whether it can work, it has worked in other instances, or if it would work in his particular circumstance.
It will either work or it won't - simple as that. The same applies to any marriage. If you're not sure about it, Harry, why consider it? If you want to make it work, try to make it work. You know what she does and the brothers here will have their own views on whether BGs make good partners; but only you know what this girl is like, what you feel for her and what (you think) she feels for you.
Why seek third party affirmation? If you want to do it - just do it. If you don't, don't. IMHO (and reading between the lines) the very fact that you're asking the question suggests you're not certain and are looking for others to persuade you out of it.
