I don't think that flaunting wealth so that people act impressed or jealous really does much for my ego, and it is probably counter-productive for me (and the average punter) in the long run --- and I'm not just talking about with p4p girls.

If you're truly concerned that me showing my TGF a few photos of the interior of my home and some shots of me on my motorcycle on Pacific Coast Highway will be counterproductive for you, me, and the average punter, then I will humbly apologize right here and now for having done so. I thought it might be nice to give her an idea of what my life is like back home in California, but of course your mileage may vary. I regret having suggested that she was salivating 'like a dog' (your words, not mine)... maybe I got a little carried away in my description. I should have simply said "she likes my house." I designed and built the house myself, so I'll admit to being sorta proud of it. If you consider that a gratuitous ego stroke, then so be it.

Let me restate more clearly... if I flaunted *my* "wealth", I think it would be counterproductive to *me*. And I think that if the average punter flaunted his wealth, it would be counterproductive to him. Sorry I was ambiguous before.
You, of course, can do as you like, as always in Thailand, "up to you". No need to even think about apologizing for what you do. And the chances of me meeting and going with the girl this thread is talking about are somewhere between none and zero, so what you do does not affect me personally.
Again, I never said that I personally wonder how the girls get hardened. I think I know.

I have to admire your youthful like romantic views of how it could be. And wish you luck. After all I did the same, I won. It was easy, showed the house and its lawns that roll down to the boat shed. Australian beaches, me in mammoth mountain (california ski-ing), My europe trip snaps, bought some gold, stayed in 5 star hotels, ate lobster. Sent her packing home, no more guys, she rang 6 times a day, I flew back 5 times in 4 months, it took alittle convincing, but the embassey let her go to australia. I had got "the one"' married her! It went fine. The relatives cost alittle more than I thought. But oh well. So go for it you should win easy!.....But just one question. Does she love you? If she f_cks anyone she doesnt and your a sucker. Thats point blank true. Making and wishing it so, doesnt mean it is. bye the way, my (ex wife is the richest girl in her village now) She loved me, but I butterflied, and got burnt under australian law. I settled cheap, only 20 years worth of work lost. Have a think. Love is a nice goal. But I dare say you got alot to learn. Try this out. Go spend 3 days with 3 other woman each getting 72 hours. Same result. Its a chemical thing nature installs in men. f_ck, and sweet nothings? Sure Mate I am a dash cynical, But two dashes realistic, You might be best taking things slowly, breath in. And look after that kind heart of yours before it gets you into trouble. And ps I am not bitter, I found a nice girl. Once you do, you realise that if this scence your discribing is fraught with heart ache, and at best the wrong reasons. And can be costly. BUt I think thats an interesting concept that your going for, LOVE! Maybe in the end you will win, and this girl is the one. Maybe its just another brick in the wall.?

Love doesn't pay the rent and I'm not supporting her... of course she's fcuking others, and I wouldn't expect her to stop doing that until I'm paying her bills. How exactly am I a sucker? It's not as if she's getting 50K THB a month from me and running around behind my back.
You seem more interested in telling and retelling your own story than in looking at the circumstances I've described objectively.

Well, I am here in Bkk without my supposed Thai girlfriend who left me (older, non-resident) for a younger, ex-pat who lives here. She is a university student who freelances to support herself. I am sure she was influenced by his condo, car with driver, maid, etc. And she is really nice show piece, well-educated, perfect English, and knock dead gorgeous. Yeah, I was and am heartbroken. But guess who came to visit me this morning when he went off to work. So score one for the visiting team. Of course she is back to him tonight. I can't offer what he does right now, but she tells me if it doesn't work out with him, she will be there for me when I finally make the move next year.
And I know she won't be with him. When I gave her money it was so she would have a choice of whether she works or not. She tells me he wants her passport, all of her club cards, he checks her phone for messages. And from what she tells me he is really stingy in giving her cash. Some guys just don't get it, you can't control a woman that way, or not a least one that is the least bit independent. I am not saying to be stupid, a working girl is a working girl, but if you overtly act suspicious and try to control that hard, you will most likely push her right into what you want to avoid.

Hmmmm DG does this only apply to TGs or anyone? I am certainly capable of loving one girl and f_cking another.... as I suspect are many on this forum.
Maybe that is why they get so hardened - its the double standards. We can f_ck around, they cant. We can lie to them, they cant lie to us. We can manipulate their feelings but they cant ours.
I am always pretty amazed at how much whinging there is about these TGs when we (I assume it is not just me) are doing exactly the same.

I have a story in some ways similar to Moxnix48's.
Three months ago, I met a girl in a bar I'll call SchoolGirl. Went with her short-time. Two months ago, I went with SchoolGirl again short-time, she told me she was going to school part time on weekends, but she was going to leave the bar and go full-time. Last month, I went to her bar, they said she stopped working there, said she went home upcountry. Yeah, right.  So I sent SchoolGirl SMS:
CG: I am in Bangkok, do you want to see me?
SchoolGirl replies: I do not work at ____ Bar anymore, I go to school now, good luck to you.
CG replies: OK, good luck for you, but I can still see you at my hotel when you not busy? Dai mai?
No reply from SchoolGirl
OK, I figure I gave it the old college try.  If SchoolGirl doesn't want to see me, has "quit the biz" and is going to school, that's fine with me. But the next day, I get a call from SchoolGirl on a different mobile from her old one. She says the other mobile is no good anymore, I should use the new one, she tells me she wants to see me but she cannot for 2 days, too busy with school, she will call me. I'm a little confused, why didn't she SMS me two days ago and tell me this? BTW, her English is very, very good.
Sure enough, two days later, SchoolGirl calls me, I ask if she wants to comes over Saturday for a 'nooner', which turns into an all 'afternooner'  , then we go to Megabreakz to play pool. I see two mobile phones in her purse, one rings, she proceeds to talk to a falang for almost 30 minutes, in English, I overhear much of what is said by her. By her responses, he is FalangBoyfriend, he is asking her where she is, who she is with, she says she is with sister and friend. Lots of casual conversation about her day, his day, references to him leaving just a few days ago, how much she misses him, etc.
I have this figured out, now. FalangBoyfriend must have been here when I sent SchoolGirl the SMS, so he (or her) replied to it. When he left, she does not stop seeing customers occasionally, although she does not work at the bar and goes to school (probably). She has two phones, one for FalangBoyfriend and one for customers.
Call ends, SchoolGirl thinks a little bit and then starts to explain to me. I let about two words come out of her mouth before I put my finger over her lips and say "kwahm laap, mai pben rai, khun mee kwahm laap, phom mee kwahm laap, mai pben rai" (secret, doesn't matter, you have secrets, I have secrets, I don't care). This was all it took to relieve her the burden of making up a story for me to believe. I'm sure it would have gone something like "man he take care me, but he not good for me, not take care of me too much, always want to fight with me, too fat, etc."
It is true, I do not care, as a matter of fact, I find that the ones with boyfriends not in Bangkok are less tired and more fun to be with (this makes sense, someone found them good enough to sponsor them) and can meet me at times that an ordinary bargirl would be sleeping (like noon).
CG is not an asshole who goes out and finds girls who do not want to be in p4p anymore and 'bribes' them back in, I'm just taking advantage of a fun girl who makes herself available to me, after all, it is SchoolGirl's decision, not mine. I really could care less what she does when she is not with me, that is not my problem.
I tell this story because it stresses a point that we should have figured out by now. If FalangBoyfriend is not in Bangkok, the girl can still see the customers if she wants, and she can get away with it (and in Moxnix48's case, the girl is still in BKK). It is totally up to the girl whether she wants to stop seeing customers. She just has to have the will and the desire to stop sleeping with other men for money. SchoolGirl doesn't have that will and desire. FalangBoyfriend probably thinks she does or he wouldn’t be sponsoring her. There are guys like me who don't care about whether she has a boyfriend who is sending her money or paying for school or whatever. And if SchoolGirl sees me, she sees other guys too.
