I can't help but to ask the question (cynical or not) - what does a 40+ year old guy talk to any woman (20 yrs - 100) about?
It all depends on the women. let me give you a little back round.
Wife #2 college professor who was a sports nut. Knew the ins and out of damn near every sport. Called local sports radio program and one of the few women the jocks had respect for.
Wife #3 Registered Nurse, reads a couple of hundred books per year. Extremely knowledgeable on damn near any subject except sports. Wanna talk about WWII you better be on top of your game.
These women are intellectually curious and that is something that I look for in a women.
One of the major problems I have with the women, I've met in Thailand intellectually they are empty vessels.

You have no interaction whatsoever with anyone in 'proper' Thai society (i.e. not involved in prostitution). You only hang out with "whores and whoremongers" (your words, not mine). This you have admitted a number of times.
So, it is not surprising that you find this.
All your conversations with Thai's are in English, not Thai, correct?
I have some grasp of the French language (maybe a little better than your average bargirl's English). If I met a Frenchman who does not speak English, I would have to converse with him in his native tongue. Would he think I was "intelectually an empty vessel" after I had trouble having an intelligent conversation with him in the French language.

While I defer to both CG's and BDUSA's greater experience with BGs, I did not find them lacking in intellectual capacity. They were all capable (the ones that I selected) of making intelligent decisions; however, they were ignorant in many cases of world events. Perhaps this is the area that you are referring to as opposed to them lacking intellectual curiosity?

Big D remember that you are speaking in their 2nd language, how adept are you at nuances, subtle undertone, entendre, in English, let alone Thai?
I can tell by your postings that you are a down to earth, rootsy kind of chap, no Rocket Scientist, yet no idiot.
How can you delve into these "empty vessels" when the pair of you share less than 100 words of understanding. When you make the move, learn the lingo.

When I move in the environment of my TG, i.e outside a westernized hotel, she changes from leaning on me and talking slowly in english, to someone who makes decisions fast, quick at solving problems and with an inclination to approach others, anyone needed to solve the problem. I have taken careful note of this to not underestimate what she is. The issue is part environment, part language and part role she is expected to play (by her culture not by me).
I see this as an opportunity to play on her REAL potential. AAMOF I think our long term relationship depends on me understanding and nurturing.this successfully.

I was cautious with my phrasing on this. I realize I'm
dealing with women who are poorly educated not stupid. I've only seen one BG reading the newspaper. I understand I'm not dealing with middle class Thais and I do need to learn the language.
Many women here in Philly don't read the newspaper intellectually they are empty vessels.

As I said Big usa, carsoul bar lek has glasses speaks 5 languages. My girlfriend follows stocks in singapore and gags as I cum in her mouth because she wasnt paying attension and watch cnn business same time. Sure she laughs like a 15 year old at scooby doo. My daughter loved her. But try running some sh_t past her, and she is onto it. Anna in bush garden at bangkok provides good head and insight in politics, *she has a politic science degree. Cm2 is crawling with 2 and 3 year uni students doing a degree,. The average thai is not as complex as a western sister, more trusting, more feminie and petitely gentle. Naieve and kind, and ok less intelligent. But give me those attributes any day. I can easy think of 40 girls I have had out of say 300 that have had alot of conversational ability (in our language dont forget) whose really the dummies here?

You have to take anything that dirty guru says about intellectual issues with a grain of salt. Remember, he is not the brightest light bulb in the room.
To him, Barney the dinosaur is like Einstein. He thinks that Mr. Rogers Neighborhood was a intellectually challenging show to watch. He is hoping someday to be able to comprehend Sesame Street. Bert & Ernie kind of turn him on you know. 5555!
Teachers would probably be your best bet to get some kind of intellectual stimulation. Most other Thai women don't really care about much other than tracking down their husbands "mia noi's". They get married after college and never work, so they un-learn everything they learned.
