Related to this: I have been growing this opinion that when a guy can stay in Thailand for years and only do uneducated hookers who don’t speak any decent English, there must be something emotionally wrong with him. The mobile phone network is in the PI is also vastly more advanced then in the rest of the world (This is one hell of a statement!, are you sure you really go there?) and much more targeted towards “poor” people. The real reason being is that the fixed line market is 1) Expensive, 2) very poorly maintained & 3) does not have enough capacity!
One can for example buy 3pesos (2baht) of credit. You can also send as low as 1pesos credit from one phone to another. This enables even the poorest of the poor to use their phone. I have however, still to experience the same hardcore business mentality from the girls in the PI as in Thailand. So, in my opinion, the influence of mobile phone use is minimal. Reread my post, I said this!!!
The hardcore business perspective comes in my opinion from the view Thais have on us, the franags. I cannot rid myself of the feeling that they are slightly racist. Cultural differences aside, they don’t consider us as equals. We are “them”.

To spell things out for you!
1) I agree that the Mobile Phone age (and to an extent Email) has changed forever the ways "most" Girls operate in the P4P business in Los, not all are hardened business women but unfortunately many now are!
