This point really does underline the importance of leaving full names out of a post and only giving them in response to a PM.
I don't know who reads these threads on the forum.
I would guess the membership and readership is not just confined to visitors or falangs or non-asian guys.
I would think most guys on here would wish to protect what they have found and / or experienced and shared, and not leave a girl vulnerable to abuse nor open to negative social and employment repercussions.
Posting in a slightly guarded way is something that we can all afford to do, if not view as a responsibility. Mind you, writing a post with the idea that the deputy commissioner would be scrutinizing it in a few hours time, would put a damper on anyone's enthusiasm. But then, that may well be the price one has to pay if you wish for things to continue in the manner and custom that you now enjoy.

WHile I understand the issue put forth by Joe Wood, I am not sure anyone really did any harm here. (a) the girl IS on the internet and it would appear not during work hours. (b) the boss has no right to interrogate her about this - especially since JW is an American company and generally works by American standards of Human Resources rules of conduct. (c) anyone making comments about females working at any establishment - P4P or otherwise- may have their names included here and unless the person is conducting extra curricular business during work hours, its up to her. Remember, she was on the internet first and admitted to working at the steak house.
And in this part of the world, it is very possible that a female could use anothers identity (maybe that of a friend) to cover their own tracks when surfing and searching.
IMO, I am in favor of Joe's comment regarding info being delivered in a "slightly guarded way".

Sorry Jack not sure if you got the posts at the start. It was me who first mentioned her, she knew nothing about it. I was trying to ind out if she was a working girl or not. Somehow it got back to her boss that she was being asked about on the net.
I dont really see how I could have guarded the name and still found out the info I wanted.
Oh well no harm done she didnt get fired of any shit like that.

IMO, there wasn't a 'foul' here. I am clearly not the arbitrator of right or wrong here but if the boss is a member, I think he would also be reading these comments and be circumspect on how he approaches his employee. It was not her that was active in this discussion and she cannot keep other people from posting their questions and comments here or elsewhere.
Equally, if the boss is a member, he must be wary of anything he would post, lest it gets back to his boss in a similar fashion.
