In the defense of LY the spamming continues on BTF but by some less colourful members.
Foreman you have not yet told us how you know for sure the baby is yours? She is married, most would believe it is the husbands child. If I was a betting man I would wager there are additional lovers during this period. The biggest question is paternity. And I would deny deny until proven wrong! 555!

Assuming that the lady has lived here for 2.5 years and came here as a finance or a conditional resident, after two years she would adjust to permanent resident. Thus, you are just spinning your wheels.
I've seen cases where the lady is married to the guy, comes here, becomes a drug dealing masseuse and the husband reports her to Immigration and she won her case. And in this case you're not even married to the lady and you're calling marriage fraud when the husband is signing off on whatever document he is given, you have nothing.
I feel for you as $800 a month for 18 years is a lot of money, especially if your daughter ends up as screwed up as her mother.

which again reminds me of this joke that I posted in another thread....
... the guy sending to the Thai ex-wife he hated the last child support cheque when his daughter turns 18,... when sending it he says to his daughter: "here, take this and tell your mother I am happy it is the last cent she will ever get from me." That should simply not feature in your equation, until AFTER the case is settled.
Remember, it depends if she is really YOUR daughter. Despite how you may feel, unless you assume full paternity, and raise her yourself, you will have absolutely no control over how that girl grows up, and chances are she will end up as messed up as her mother.
If you are not interested or willing to do that, then her hating or not hating you should not even feature one iota into your defense strategy - until all is settled.

While you are correct that execution by the INS is shoddy, at best, just having a permanent resident card does NOT prevent deportation, if said card and status were acquired illegally - as seems to be the case.
Most likely, her 'husband' threatened with jail time, might make him reconsider the legitimacy of his stance as well...

Even if the mother is deported you will still have to pay support for the child. Now, how and to whom you pay is another matter:
1) If deported, the mother may take the girl back with her to Thailand. You will still to have to send her a monthly payment. Even with the mother living in Thailand, the court will make you send her money -remember the child is a USA citizen with her own rights, regardless of where she (the child) lives.
2) The girl may stay in the USA -without the mother. In which case the decision is whether you want to raise the child yourself, or you have her raised under foster care. Even under foster care (assuming you are the father), the state will make sure you pay child support -my guess is that it will be worse dealing with paying foster parents (coordinated by your local government) rather than dealing with the mother directly.
In few words, just try to be practical about the whole thing: the child is yours? Then it will cost you for sure... how much? Well, if you are not in good terms with the mother and there is not much extra you want to give her, just have your lawyer talk to her lawyer and tell him you are willing to pay whatever the court would decide if the court were the one to decide (which as said, depends on your monthly income -not assets).
By the way, along the way, if your income goes up or down, both you and the mother have a right to ask for the monthly amount to be decreased/increased -through people rarely bother afterwards.
Be careful when threatening denouncing her to the INS. Even though she may be there illegally, using that as a tool to try to influence her to act in a way beneficial to you (paying less child support) on another matter can be considered blackmail.
