Re the baby - OK, all females have the urge no doubt, but certainly I have not seen many countries where stangers run up to have a look, admire, pat, etc. young babies, especially Luk-krung - also have to admit, doubt i would have stayed with my TG [ or her with me !! ] if not for having a baby, - but now we both agree it was the best thing that could have happened, - as mentioned above, maybe Buddahs will ........

Absolutely not - there is no way that I want to cause hurt to my wife in any way . Unbelievable though it may sound - I love her like I have loved nothing in this world .
My problem will be just that - to arrive at a solution where she does not feel even an iota of hurt .
If and when I finally do work it out I will keep you guys informed firstly because you have all benn so helpful and secondly because there may be some lessons in there somewhere .

Like I said before good luck in making this tough decision. You have so much to weigh and think though.
And .. yes. Please keep us posted on what finally happens so that we all can learn from this.
To be completely honest, unless your wife is completely open minded, then the chances of you not hurting her while having this baby is probably zero.
My friend wanted to do this, and we tried to help him out. But we could not come up with any ideas on how he could work it out!!
I hope I'm wrong and you are able to find that balance / solution!!

A quick update :-
(1) I thought I was being clever and since I am involved in fostering orphan babies , I gently suggested to "Nong" that if she really wanted a baby maybe we could adopt one .
That was stupid of me - she rounded on me like a tigress and said that she wants ONLY my baby , period .
(2) Some posters have expounded on the theory (or maybe fact) that many Thai girls ( or is it Asian girls ?) want very much to have a baby by a Farang because of the "lift" it gives them in society .
This cannot be true in this case because I AM NOT FARANG . I am an Indian (NOT Native American Indian BUT Native Indian Indian ) and knowing the distaste Thais have for Indians I don't think that having my baby would give her any "lift" in society .
(3) I am now in the midst of convincing her that she has to spend all her time and energy in quality mothering of her son - in other words making up for the 3 years he led a life of living with his mother but never really having a "mother". I am hoping to convince her that if her love and attention is diverted to a new baby , her son may feel rejected and may look for love and warmth in friends who may lead him astray .
Yes , I am being devious - but if this works out - then call me devious .
