You are not alone. ÝOn my last LOS trip, I was doing my usual butterfly thing until I met a lady I was quite taken by. ÝSpent over a week with her, and didn't want it to ever end. ÝAlthough I really liked her, I had to come to the realization that I was just another guy in a long list of satisfied customers. ÝGive yourself a little time to heal, then move on.

put her in your suitcase and take her home...you know my tgf fit quite nicely in my suitcase I was able zip it up with room to spare for snacks and drinks and stuff..also handy for discreetly disposing of them after theyre no longer any use to you make sure you yank the teeth first then punch holes in it then drop it in the ocean 25 miles out... then its back to LOS for another stunner
BTW just kidding about the disposing crap..she did fit quite nicely in my suitcase though...*sighs* if only it were that easy

Hello all
I think you fall in love with the Lifestyle more then just the one girl you stay with. The pampering you recieve in Thailand is what you miss most least for me it is. Here in the US I simply don't get it

lol, I seem to be following you two around and picking on you... please don't take it personally, it's just that the tv is crap right now and I haven't been to the library this week. Ý
Have you two ever thought or even considered that the reason behind your problems with the opposite sex in your own country could be your own faults? Ý
If I was being treated like a 2nd class citizen by the opposite sex here, or was continually getting cold-shouldered by members of the opposite sex, I really think I'd have to take a long, hard look in the mirror and ask myself why?
The same with the "pampering" thing. ÝDo you pamper your partners? ÝIf you do and it's not reciprocated, then that is unfortunate and I think I'd moan about it too. ÝBut I tend to think what goes around comes around... if I pamper my partner tonight... chances are tomorrow I'll be on the receiving end.
Just some food for thought!

Hermanalobo- your comparison of western guilt, intimacy and sex is amazing, just like you, right on the money.
Every single time I make a trip it's the same affliction. The first couple of trips, I'm sitting in the gate, about to leave, looking at the names, e-mail addresses, pictures, crying and feeling very sorry for myself. A few days later, yes that western guilt of loving and leaving sets in. I frantically e-mail pledging love, to all 8 and promising everything from speedy returns to new water buffaloes.
The last several trips, this happy poster may have matured. The sweet nothings, pillow talk, and love pledges have ceased. I harbor no illusions of the girls work, nor that what she is saying may be to only soothe me. Many men go to Thailand love starved, wishing for affection, sex, and easily confuse this with love and intimacy.
If asked, this happy poster would advise to have fun. Play. But stay honest and know it's tentative. impermanent like the rest of this. The transient fleeting feelings will subside, and like the weather and tides change whether you "think" Ýyou want them to or not. JMHO.

My experience has been that I continue to communicate with the lady(s) from my home in the U.S.A., and then when I come back to Thailand, it really isn't the same as before.... So, I guess time just takes care of it. I just get new girlfriends that I email.

Perhaps all of us go through the stage of enchanted love in our first few trips to LOS...I know I did.
But now I know for sure its temporary, like cherry blossoms in Japan.
I'll diligently gather phone numbers and email addresses while I'm there and reconnect with the girls that rock. But when its time to pack and head for the airport, all the phone numbers get tossed in the trash.
With rare exception, the next trip will be all new girls.
