Whisper: A TG (non-working girl) I know, who is actually a bigger butterfly than me, once gave me some great advice.
Brief history - We had just finished and I came out of the shower to see her talking on her phone. After she hung up, she said to me "you never told me you have girlfriend". Apparantly my mobile was ringing (while I was in the shower) and she saw the number and called it from her phone to find out who it was (she played it off like it was a wrong caller ID function). I was sort of pissed, although she didnt seem to worried and she said to me "Look, if the girl loves you, she will believe anything".
She was right, and it was the best advice I ever heard.

I switched to Hutchinson's 3G network a few months back. The Sanyo Hutch phone has a feature perfect for snooping GF's.
Its called secret mode. I can flag an entry in my phone as secret. All SMS's to and from that number do not show up. Calls out to that number do not show up in the call log an calls from that number while in secret mode do not ring or register in anyway. The number also does not show up in your phone book. However, when you enter your PIN, SMS's and missed calls from secret numbers show up.
I have several friends who switched to Hutch just for this feature.

I noticed someone in Active Users looking at this funny little old thread and decided to pop in and take a look too. It's kind of funny, that TG's don't have the same privacy considerations one might expect if one hadn't understood their ways for a while. 'Unacceptable behaivor'? You have to accept it, if you're ever going to be get smarter than it....
In a similar story to the OP's my girlfriend, who I've known for a couple years by now, within the first couple weeks she'd picked up my phone and called up 2 old girlfriend's #'s who I still had in my phone for some reason... "So you used to be seajohn's girlfriend, huh? Yeah? etc" and I guess she had a little chat with them each... don't know about what as they were all 3 from quite different backgrounds and various lives... But needless to say, I was nonplused but not exactly happy about it.
Later I insisted that she never call anymore #'s in my phone as they were work-related and it would causes disturbances for me. Worked so far.
