Reality check........ I screw girls all the time that are being sponsored by some guy overseas. Spasso, Rivas, etc. are loaded with them. Actually, they are the best because they are usually very horny not getting it often enough and if you charm them a bit, give them some drinks, they are really fun.(like college days). Free too because they get all the money they need from their sponsor. OK, I do buy them dinner and drinks but that's it usually.
This is all VERY different than someones' girl friend or wife.... would not go there. If they're receiving money, it's just a form of LT....

I am not going to start moving off the thread, but that is the amount she made a month working. So, if I wanted her to stop working, I had to pay what she was making. And I did make sure that the amount was legitimate before paying it.
And this only lasted for 8 months ... I think. Like I said, I do not sponsor any more. not worth it on any level or on any amount.

OneEyed: agree with part of what you say, but not all. Just because a guy sends money to help his girl doesn't make it a LT.
I think the generalization that most girls have multiple sponsers is misleading. I'm sure there are a ton of BG's in particular that do that, but when you get into the normal or sort of normal TG types then I think the motivations (or level of corruption, perhaps) is less.
One previous thread really made sense to me. The problem with a BG or freelancer who has found a sponser and stopped working is that suddenly they have too much time on their hands. They've made friends who are most likely still working, and it isn't realistic to expect them to stop seeing all their friends just because they are with you. Because of that you get this "pull" going on where they may go out to the disco to spend time with friends instead of sitting home every night, and that puts them in the world of the sharks....farangs hitting on them, trying to spend money, and of course with alcohol involved we all know that even people with the best intentions do shit they wouldn't do otherwise (god knows that I do).
So I think one of the biggest issues with having a TG as a serious girlfriend is that she may have been introduced to a way of life that you can't completely take her out of, and i'm not just talking about the sex for money part, i'm talking about the social part...and that has a way of leading people back to where they started even if that wasn't their initial intention.
However, if a girl cheats, it is her decision to do so, no matter how hard someone tries to get her to do it.
Damn, why do things have to be so complicated with Thai women???? I guess like most things you have to deal with the good and the bad at the same time...

Thais collect such lovelies while they are in season, for face purposes. My ex partner had dibs on Kwan Pilom Lin, the sex bomb actress, a while back, while one of the Saudi princes (of significance) has or had Morakot, she of the big boobs.
And Geoffrey the crown prince of Brunei, he who owned twin yachts named TITS and BUM, has such lovelies reeped up wholesale, but he can afford it.
Even I, lowly expat that I am, used to have a calendar girl from Sampeng (Chinatown) and her girlfriend in the room down the hall from myself and my wife. But they finagled to move to another room on same floor, which turned out to be next to the stairs door. That was so her boyfriends could sneak in...unbeknownst to her I had set my wife to monitor them, and she hired all the floor maids for chickenfeed, as spies, so I caught them at this little game, and wham! ejected from the premises the girls were, by the management, at my request. I mention this just so you know that I am speaking from experience.

Just to also be clear, the one that I sponsored worked at one of the Davis Groups MP as a sideline model and not in the fish bowl. She worked only 5 days a week. Not that makes a difference.

I agree 100%. That was one of her complaints to me on the phone, was that she was bored. All her friends were working and would stay out late and get up late in the daytime just to get something to eat and then go to work. She ended up hangin' out with the group of females that our group sponsored. I am sure they all had similiar complaints!! ha ha ha!!

As an almost rule, BGs who are making good money (say anything from 25,000 on up monthly) are reluctant to fess up to it, to a customer, out of fear that the professional Damsel in Distress leverage will be lost. So they heavily discount what they admit to making, and then someone like me offers them, say, 20,000 baht a month. Well if they are really making 50,000 a month this isn't going to work, they'd be losing money to take it.
But then I'm living here, and would not be an absentee sponsor...
