I thought it was all dollar dollar dollar
Well, that's the party line after all. Just as well there's such a thing as experience.
It's one thing to think that money will get you whatever you want in LOS; quite another to let that belief show. If you do, you'll quite often find that money doesn't hack it after all.
If a waitress is attractive enough to be a GG dancer, but prefers to be a relatively low-paid waitress, then there's a reason for this (clearly she works in an environment where being a GG dancer isn't exactly unthinkable). One obvious reason is that she doesn't want to think of herself as a prostitute. Now, like many other TGs, she may dabble in P4P from time to time, but it will have to be decently disguised to be tolerable to her. If your initial gambit with a girl like this is to ask whether she's up for LT, you shouldn't be too surprised if you get a dusty answer. At any rate, if she wouldn't even accept a drink from you, it's a reasonable bet that she found your approach offensive.
A little bit of tact goes a long way with the BGs too. They're not obliged to play ball, most of them don't like to think they'll go with just anyone, and the cuter ones certainly don't need to.

To the guy getting rejected - oh well, you move one... I have been in situations where I have walked in a bar, where a BG will take interest in my friend instead of me. Then the BG will try to have me sit down with another girl working there, in which I sensed no interest coming from her end. A little awkward, but like everyone else says, who cares "your in the world's largest candy store". Just kind of sucks being stuck next to a girl who rather be anywhere else but next to you.
One situation, where this happened, the bartender girl saw the mundane looks are both of our faces (the girl and I) while my friend was chatting away with his lovely. The bartender saw this and brought out some of those stupid games to help out the situation. I hate playing those games (except for Jenga, I kind of like that game). Can you picture it, both of us sitting there with no smiles whatsoever, having no fun, getting my ass kicked in connect four, while my friend is in BG la la land. In my mind I'm thinking (hurry the f*ck up, I want to get the hell out of here. I want to walk down the candy aisle because I don't like what I have).

My last rejection is still vivid.
A stunner told me "I don't thinbk I'm really your type.", when my intent though not stated yet, started to become obvious. I took that to mean either "I don't p4p", or worse, a very diplomatic response actually meaning "You're not MY type", (i.e. old enough to be her father...LOL)
So, OK - time to move on to the next eye candy...

I like your answer too! The wisdom and the experience shine; it all sounds so reasonable as well.
I am clearly going to have to adjust my way of thinking. That I can do - I am prepared to be convinced. And you guys know what you are talking about and have the experience (s) to back up your arguments.
But... "you'll quite often find that money doesn't hack it after all" makes for depressing reading. It is a line I hear in Yurp (and is no doubt heard in the US of A too) and the whole point of coming to Thailand is to escape that line and its brother "nice guy gets girl" - I don't believe it in Yurp and I was hoping to find a place where my qualities (that is, dollars) can compete on an equal basis with the other guys'.
Now I'm told the same rules apply worldwide. Arghh! Why wasn't I told this before I flew out,eh?!

Don't worry, it's not quite as bad as all that.
If you want to start specialising in unpopular bars with unattractive girls, I'm sure you'll find that your unadorned dollars do just fine. Of course, if your chosen one thinks you're a jerk, she's still likely to: a) be a right royal pain in the arse, and b) starfish you, but at least you should get to pay the barfine. So that's something.
If getting starfished by ugly BGs begins to pall, you may have to compromise your principles a bit.
Bear in mind that you don't actually have to be a nice guy, just pretend to be one (Thais take a dim view of reality anyway). This isn't nearly such a strain as back home, as your BG will no doubt be pretending to be a nice guy too (if a katoey) or even a nice girl (if the genuine article). It's not as if you have to pretend to be a nice guy in the face of a snarling, contemptuous, how-dare-you-insult-me-by-speaking-to-me harridan of kind we know and love in the West.

I wouldnt mind placing a bet on why you were turned down.
I have said on another of your threads that I thought your attitude towards the girls was all wrong.
I dont think you need look any further for you answer.
You can listen to all the possable reasons that other brothers are suggesting, but the truth is you need to look in the mirror.
Someone will post something here about my attitude towards others on this forum, but this isnt real life, its 95% fun and BS. However I didnt get any knock backs in 17 days in LOS, and I'm a fat git, so no prize, but the thing that helped me have the time of my life was a nice smile and a lot of respect to the people I met.
The girls might be on the game, but they are women, not things, treat them with the respect you would like you Mother/wife/sister to be shown and you will be paid back ten fold.
Somehow I dont think it will happen!
