Well if she is pregnant, then she will probably come after for money. For a long time. She may already be pregnant, and is just looking for another meal ticket. Going to spend the money to get a DNA test?
One thing that I consider when I get these requests. Even if I never see this girl again, what if she does get pregnant and have a girl? Maybe in 15 or 20 years, she'll be spreading herself for a falang to get 500 baht to send home.
While I don't think there's anything wrong with being a BG, I wouldn't want my daughter to do it.

Well, I wonder.
Presumably, no BG is so stupid as to get pregnant by just anyone. She has to make a judgment.
And I imagine that in quite a lot of cases it works. Not every guy is going to abandon his child just because it wasn't part of his immediate game plan. So if he was in two minds - teetering on the brink as it were - maybe this will tip him over in the desired direction.
It's a high risk/high reward game, of course - but a pretty ancient one. Certainly not confined to P4P girls or to Thailand. Ý

Since you disagree with Mr. J. Cartero (who voiced concern for his own daughter), so strongly does that mean you would not mind your daughter(s) choosing the P4P scene for a career?

I don't think bro Cartero is even being inconsistent.
Most BGs are in the BG business because it is (or they believe it is) the best option open to them.
I have no difficulty respecting that. On the other hand, I certainly hope my own daughters will have better options available to them. I also hope they have better options than becoming chambermaids or struggling by on some other B5k-a-month 'respectable' job. Is this abnormal?

O.K., let me just try to put it in another way.
What I meant is that no father (or almost) would want his daughter to become a BG or prostitute.
No need to put it in such words, from my point of view, degradating to Bg's and their fathers.
And if you think that "contradictory" is just a "double standard". that's your opinion and not mine.
How many people do you think read this forum?
And how many people get hurt by comments like this, people who indeed have daughter's in Thailand (from Bargirls), and don't know what happend to them.
How many sad moments these men (which enjoyed the LOS the same way we do, just made a mistake perhaps) must have after what Mr. J. Cartero wrote.
The way he wrote Ýwas upsetting because it was as if he wanted to say good enough for some but too low for him, AS if the others would have had the choice of becoming an accountant or a BG.
Especially since we never know where the walk of life will take us, the only thing we can do is HOPE that we will not face that dilemma (the need to send our daughter's to work to support us, but that is something very difficult to understand with a farang mind and culture).

That was just anger against MR.J.Cartero's post which I found inadequate.
Whith my words I wanted to remind him what HE is and maybe he sees the contradiction in his sentence.

We all know that there is something wrong with beeing a BG and Cortero knows that also.
It's just the way it is and as usually someone can take advantage of the less fortunate.
I'm not different then many others because I'm also part of that privilege list, but I don't need too fool myself and can still admit that there is something wrong with it, it's just that I'm on the lucky side of the fence and I can profit from it.
Let's just leave it at that.
