** These are a general statements and not direct @ any one member or because of this thread. **
We all make mistakes and have to do what we feel is best. And some have to go down a path so that they don't wonder later. As well as each situation is unique.
BUT......
IMO:
It's interesting how a question will get posted about what to do and is she lying, ect. and then when faced with the facts or when the other members tell it like it is, the poster choses to completely disregard the advice. Or worse, make excuses for the female they gripe about, or how she's different!!
For those that want to keep their heads in the sand, pls don't post a question if you are not going to actually read and be open minded about the responses!! It's a waste of everyones time!!
And in trying to pull this thread back on topic, "saving face" is more about honor then anything else. So many times I don't think the bg's are actually saving face, more like trying to get away with something.

Krypto is a little bit more blunt than others..no shades of grey with this guy. However, it is easy to be cynical when you are not the one who is emotionally involved.
Everybody lies. We all do it for various reasons. Suspecting that someone is lying is not always a good enough reason for cutting off a relationship. If she is lying to you now but you are unable to prove it then as the advice previously given either break it off now (prematurely) or continue & don't mention it again.
Rest assured if she has no respect for you or your feelings it will not be too long before she returns to her former behaviour.
If you are going to confront her in future make sure that you have incontrovertible evidence otherwise she may be able to squeeze her way out of it. On the face of it, the evidence you have would seem damning enough - perhaps it would have been better if you had held back until she had actually gone to meet your mate. These girls can be very convincing!! A good PI would sort this out for you in less than a day I suspect for the price of one or two months sponsorship.

I read that many bangkok thais fought against building the skytrain. seems that before skytrain the I got stuck in traffic on sukumvit lie was good for being late anywhere from 3 to 6 hours. Thais didn't want to lose one of theiur favorite lies. Now its only good for being late 1-2 hours.

Derman... IMO cut your losses. If your 'friend' can get her to hook up, you really can't ask for more proof, evidence, warning signals, etc. that she is not one of the 'good' ones.
Postage stamp... hmm good one, lick, stick and send her packing, then lick, stick and stamp a new one!
Just be careful of those nasty cuts you get on the tongue from time to time when you seal the envelop!

Big talk, but harder in real life. Good at giving advice, but not following your own? I remember when you got caught in a few lies and went begging back to the wife for forgiveness. You also admitted giving your wife your paycheck and you getting an allowance. Maybe your wife can loan out those balls in jar in the cupboard to the Derman in question.
