Both eyes, of course. ÝNo earthly reason to do one at a time.
The real decision is whether to do so-called mono-vision, where one eye (the dominant one) is adjusted for distance and the other for reading. ÝI tried the contact lense equivalent of that, and couldn't quite get used to it. ÝI'll get both eyes done for distance, and use reading glasses when I read. ÝOr maybe a monocle... 
Many of the big docs in the US have a free preliminary exam, which is designed to see if you are a candidate, and to let you know what choices you have. ÝMight be a good idea to take advantage of it (don't tell him you're going to Thailand for the procedure), and think it over before you decide.

I recall a post by ballsbursting where he paid for his TGF Grandmothers surgery and she regained her vision. If you can have her find out if this surgery is affordable for you. I think the whitish growth which grows slowly over the eye is caused by ultraviolet light.I had one taken of my eye many years ago and it is a small opperation taking 10 to 15 minuets.It is a common problem in countries where there is clear air and high ultraviolet light like in NZ and Australia
