Tin man I agree with your posting... in some ways.. yes you are right.. but in others you are not.. yes we are paying for a service... but... why not pay for a service from a BG or TGF or GF or whatever it is.... all you have to do is form some ground rules first... as long as she knows what the deal is... and what sort of future she can expect from you it's cool...
Most of my girls I either tell them It's only for the night... other girls I tell em I'm a butterfly... but through out my stay I willl stay with them about 20% of the time and butterfly... and S/T girls I tell em.. if I haven't hooked up by say 1am I'll give em a call.... then everyone knows the bounderies and the playing field is set...
But you cannot put all thai girls into one catagory... myself I went to Los in march last year.. met a nice girl who worked in shop.. courted and dated her... and went home... 3 weeks later I was back having not planned to return for 4 months... ended up staying for 7 months and had a great time.... with my Long time "good GF" we had an understanding that for Tuesday Wednesday Thursday and Friday I was ok to Butterfly and Sat Sun And Mon were just for her... (not including the odd soapie and short time).
People all over the world want your money.. it just happens that in Thailand that the average wage in thailand per capita is abismal and the pittance you pay or get skimmed dosen't come into the global equation at all...
To loose ones heart.. yes in Los you can loose it every day but keep an eye on your wallet..
But still you can if you're a keenow sit in a go go bar and have some nice nubile thing fondling you in places you didn't know you had, and not buy a drink.. but fairs fair.. they are doing a job and deserve to be renumerated for their time....
and if you think ladies, TG's, BG's are just there for your personal gratification well yes in one way they are... but for them to enjoy it makes for a better relationship and gives you a better name among their collegues and increases your chances of getting what you want...
anyway I've been blathering on too much.. sleep calls.. to dream of los....

I can't pick out a specific rule on your list that I have a problem with...But I must say that on my last trip I spent many hours hunting for girls that I really had a connection with and never had to try to be "the boss" they were excellent girls willing to please....Not the same as my 1st trip where I only had short time, there was some impulsive barfining...where some of your rules could've came into play..#1 rule:Take your time and find the right one who doesn't need a "boss"

Realise many guys dont have the time ... but another reason why I think by and large, you well have a better time with a "freelancer" rather than a BG - they have to get drinks/Bar fines etc ... or lose their job, freelancers, - especially those whom i call "FRINGE DWELLERS" - you probably have to come her a couple of times to spot them, but they are the young sisters, friends etc of the regular P4P, who hover in the background, unsure of the concept, usually in Jeans/T-shirt/Flip flops ... and their big night out is friday, - these are TGs you can spend some time on, evaluate fairly accurately, and treat accordingly -

Having the pleasure(?!) of traveling frequently to BKK and MNL, I believe that it boils down to the fact that when you pick up a MPG or BG you must realize that this is thier job/profession. I am sure that none of you would like to come into work and be told you are not being paid or you salary is being cut because you have not performed to the whims of your supervisor. No, you would be first in line to the Labour Department to complain of injustice.
Treat these women like you would want your employer to treat you.
As for falling in love, keep in mind that that TG you marry will have to fit into your life, be acceptable to your family, and be able to deal with your friends.
My Chinese lady has a rabbit farming business and usually up to her hips in rabbit shit. But when I am in town she polishes up very well and I am proud to introduce her to my fellow Expats and Business Clients as my Fiancee. That is because we can fit into each other's lifestyles.

I have spent alot of time in BKK and had my share of problems. As far as the "boss" comments go - what I was trying to get at is this: when the relationship is a business one, keep it as that. Make sure that the perspective is correct. If you are lucky enough to transend the BG/customer relationship then great. My whole initial post was to make the newbies to LOS think a little about what the situation is. If I was a little harsh.... so be it.
I am happy for all people who manage to find a good lady a live a happy life. It was the number of posts here of guys who were screwed, mentally f_cked or emotionally wrecked that prompted the post.
As it happens, I have a FT TG that I treat with the utmost respect and love. When I butterfly however - different story!!!

rules, any rules are fine with me, since I agree with the machine that intelligence is for breaking them...
what is not my cup of tea is the drjackill-mrhide attitude of tin man's last post:
personally I am and try to be what I am 24h per day; I mean that if I open the taxi door for a girl is because I like it, and I don't mind if she is a BG, a TG or a GF.
I don't see why I should renounce my way...
