I have been quiet on this Thread for some time now mainly because I did not want to give any knee-jerk responses BUT wait to hear other opinions before posting again .
Your initial post mentioning "power" did turn me off and I readily admit that it was because I saw bad connotations in that word .
Even the dictionary definition that you have quoted ( viz. that power is the ability or capacity to act or produce an effect ) - still gives me bad vibes .
For me , the ultimate sexual happiness I can get is when my female partner is truly sexually fulfilled by her definition & not mine . So if this means just sexually gratifying her without any release for me OR if it means just cuddling with no sex OR if it means just spending a lazy Sunday morning chatting , etc. - I would be equally happy .
I do not know how this fits in with any definition of "power" - BUT I am pretty convinced that we are talking about the same thing ( i.e. we are on the same page ) it is just that we are using different words to express what we mean .
