you know it's funny arcadius that you say you hear too many stories of lackluster experiences back in the room with a r2 girl.
i bar fined a girl out of r2 on my last trip to los. she was gorgeous. light skinned, long black hair to her ass, chinese looking face, nice tits and ass with flat stomach. took her back to the room and she was a total starfish. she was by far the worst lay i've had in los.
i usually don't take girls unless I have a good vibe with them and know that they will be fun. but when I see a real looker sometimes I just can't help myself.

I know how you feel, but sometimes you just have to be strong. No need to give up on stunners altogether. The ones hiding away in the less glamorous bars are generally a better bet - you just have to look a bit harder, that's all. Well worth the bother imho, because it doesn't matter a damn what a starfish looks like once you get down to business.

I never take a stunner by force or one that is forced to you by the mamasan. but is she comes by her own free will and the "vibe" is right, I go for it.
also r1 has some gems but they are usually snatched up pretty quick by the japanese. same in r3 but you might get seconds...
as arcadius pointed out (how is sexy nights lapdancer?) it is always worth to have a quick glance into the smaller bars (except for rosemary), there are some hidden gems at times.
glad to be of help and if you see a guy with a denim jacket standing at the barcounter in r3, buy him a heineken.

SN is growing on me, I have to admit. Not keen on the configuration, but it's certainly a friendly enough place. Last night it was really humming - the girls seem to get on well together, and a lot of regulars obviously roll up on Friday nights. Much more of an expat than a tourist haunt, I guess.
Last time I was in R1, the girls were 3-deep on the runway - so packed together, you couldn't see most of them properly (reckon they should shunt half of them off to G-spot). Definitely quite a few gems in there, though.

5 years in BKK to get round to your first barfine, griff? Now you see, gents, here's a guy who really IS picky.
This stunner business. We've all had experience of girls who looked great in the bar and... er, a lot less great outside it. But it can work the other way round too. Early last week, on a routine reconnaissance mission in NEP, I decided to check out Silver Dragon. Typical 'middling' GG, perhaps slightly below average - a handful of lookers, a few more 'acceptables', the rest also-rans. Nothing atrocious.
After a decent interval (they get this right), I'm hit on. She's OK, nothing special, I'm not inspired, but she's quite good to talk to, so what the hell - I get her a LD. We click very well - she's quite a bit more sophisticated than usual, intelligent (making very clever use of limited English), and altho' charming, a bit challenging as well. Not just routine ingratiation. Very nice manners. I'm rather drawn to her.
So up she goes for her set and I get a good look at her. No doubt about it - I wouldn't have noticed a girl like this if I hadn't been sitting with her. She's not wearing her hair in a very becoming way, and she doesn't have the almost-skinny TG figure I go for. There's nothing wrong with her, you understand - she's young, quite pretty, and curvaceous without being even slightly overweight. But, well... there are 3 others up there who have the Isaan/foxy look I prefer, with figures to match, and one of them's definitely returning my glances. I'm in there if I want to be, I reckon, all I have to do is toss her a decisive 'you're the one I really want' look. Hmmm, what to do?
I'm in two minds and beginning to worry that I'll end up falling between two stools, as often. How do I know I'll click with Isaan/foxy? How many more girls like that do I need in my portfolio anyway? No, I'll give number 1 another chance - she's definitely interesting and just might be something a bit different. She comes back, and very skilfully sets about dismantling the remaining defences. OK, sod it, I'll pay bar and see what happens.
Well, back she comes - long skirt, nice jacket-top, really looks quite classy. It's cheap Pratunam stuff but she's got dress sense. Has pinned her hair up, too, which is definitely an improvement. As we wait for a cab on Suk, I certainly don't have that sinking 'Oh God, what have I done?' feeling. Anyway, things just go on getting better from here. In the room, she finally lets her long hair fall free and... wow! If she'd allowed herself to look like that in the bar, I wouldn't have hesitated for a second. Suddenly, she's drop-dead gorgeous. Then to cap it all, she goes off like a bomb - probably the best 1st-time lay I've had for for a good six months.
All in all, a huge success. I'll certainly be back for more there, and have provisional plans to work this one up to regular status. But there's no way I'd ever have picked this girl, or even been particularly aware of her, just by runway sighting alone. It's all a very uncertain business, and sheer luck plays a bigger role than any of us would probably want. I'd say waiting for the 'click' is always the best bet - if you've got that, and she's acceptable or above from the purely physical angle, just go for it. You're unlikely to have made a positively lousy choice, and you may be very pleasantly surprised.

Ok, Arcadius. I am a NEP regular and frequent too many of the Bars there for my own good. NEVER have I seen you there  ? I have looked for you numerous times in your white Lab coat, complete with a note Pad in one hand & pen in the other looking through Opera Glasses at the "entertainment"! Just to give us visitors a regular update! Not that I doubt your reports but surely I would have run into you?

I was quite impressed with Silver Dragon on my last trip, first time I'd gone in there. Even though it was very early, about 8:30, and only a couple customers were in the bar, the girls seemed to be having a good time: laughing, dancing, and slapping each other on the butt. It was a very festive atmosphere, most places seem like a morgue when only a few customers are present.
I BFed a girl there who looked almost exactly like one of my regulars from Playskool downstairs, only a year younger. I thought they might be sisters, but it wasn't the case. Still, she was quite impressed I could tell her she was from Udon Thani. And I had a great LT session with her. Love those Udon Thani girls, all the one's I've known were real ballbusters.
