Believe it or not, there is currently a strong push by some PMs to have GO-Go bars banned altoghether !! - however as you can imagine, it is meeting plenty of resistance. Usual thai style, committees, reports etc, figure on at least 5 years for anything to happen, even the Urgent classification of entertainment areas yet to be finalised, - but to be on the safe side, if you ever contemplate buying or renting long term, go with the Rachada area, ðit IS going to get 4-5am closing, plus one day the undergound will be completed ...well .. maybe !

How is it in massage parlors ? I'm not talking about suspect mp with numbers as names (e.g. 88), but serious mp such as J2, mirage, mona lisa, etc...
Also not about underage girls. But about girls that are for example 18 (difficult to distinguish from a girl who is 19).
I don't see myself checking IDs in a mp. Can one trust the mp for checking age of girls? (Or assume that if the girl is only 18, the police will never know)

You can forget about any ban on gogo bars.
The rezoning is just the creation of a monopoly aimed at benefitting the status quo license holders and certain real estate holdings.
The early closing and general bullshit "social order" campaign will not survive the removal of the present MT1 (That's the interior minister, who is a putz) and that could be a mere matter of weeks, as a cabinet reshuffle is slated. He is supposed to become Education Minister, so he can terrorize children instead of annoying adults.
He has already proposed mandatory urine testing for all schoolchildren from kindergarden on up...thus creating a generation of Thai too traumatized to take a whizz.
As MrJoe will agree, things in LOS are seldom as they appear.

My opinion is that for the most part the larger more estalished MP's (the ones your posted) keep to the age standards, so you should not worry about it. But, there are alway exceptions.
"If it looks like a duck, walk like a duck and quacks like a duck, then it most likely is a duck!!"
Hence, if she looks like she is just 18, then the chances are she just made it or might be just below the 18 year old mark. And if she looks 16, then she's probably "jail bait" and probably should be steered clear of. Since most asians look younger then their actual age.
But, like i said, there are always exceptions. Use your best judgement and don't think twice about it.

I don't worry too much about the age issue. ÝIn most major MPs and decent bars the girls are all going to be 18 and if they are not they will have very convincing fake IDs. It will probably be extremely rare that anyone would hassle you or try to blackmail you if you take a girl from one of these places, especially if you take girls who look like they are 18. If you're into girls that look 16, then you might have some trouble.

I can share a couple of experiences on the "age issue".
There are several reports on this board about brothers taking TGs from GG/BB with fake IDs. Some brothers realize the age of the TG by the time they arrive to their Hotels or even after the services are finished when the TGs tell them the truth. Age is difficult to determine in these cute ladies. Some of 20+ easily can be 18/19 coz of their cute face, nice skin and very slim body....
At the MPs like J1 and ML the papasan/mamasan guarantee the "legal" age of ALL THE CUTIES if the customer is a bit suspicious. After you make the deal at the front desk nothing happens. You got your service and you go home afterwards.
However, we may not trust 100% what those guys guarantee to you. Look, I date my cutie from J1. She shares her apartment with two other TGs from the same MP. One day I went to her apartment when the room-mates where on duty at J1 since my little TG got a holiday (coz of her period). Around 10pm two young teenagers did knock the door and we had a nice time talking about this and that. Well, I became suspicious on their age and I asked where they work and I must confess that their faces look a bit familiar. My cutie said they also work at J1 but in other fish bowl (regulars). Aja!! They showed me the IDs (real ones) and Oh! surprise, one was 15 and the other 16. Yes, SHIT!! The place was employing underage TGs. That's why I would never take a girl who looked 16, even if she had an ID saying 19. Even if the ID wasn't fake, I don't want the hassle of other people thinking she was underage (plus I don't find the really young looking ones that attractive). If you take a girl who actually looks like a woman, then unless there is a sting in place before hand you should be okay, if it turns out she is underage.

How can you tell a real ID from a fake one? I have never seen a Thai ID. If it is in Thai language it could be anything.
Are there any pictures of Thai IDs or passports and how these look like?
