Anyone - albeit it's not easy.
The 'fatal' flaw of the polygraph test lies in the 'pretest questions', which is ssentially a calibration portion of the test, during which the tester tries to ascertain what the subject's reactions to truthful responses and non-truthful answers are. Therein lies the rub - hence a person to who lying comes second-nature (i.e. doesn't react stressfully when telling a lie), will be much harder to detect, than the average person, to whom lying is a stressful event.
Hence, why it is critical to have a well-trained operator for the polygraph test equipment -- I'm theorizing, based on this, that it is probably equally important to have a well-trained polygraph operator from the same culture than the country you are administering the test in, and the person taking it.
Now, I have seen some recent gadgets that purport to be 'lie detectors' that you can have sitting on your deskt, and that give you a readout of the purported truthfulness of the person you are talking to - but these gimmicks are mostly voice-stress analizers. No idea how well they work, but it might be fun taking one to an upcoming RT, and seeing how it responds to the banter of the bros... and their dates.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure it can - do you think he'd volunteer? After all, plenty of 'creative exagerations' in his message, if not to call them 'lies', considering only one of his responses is truthful.
Back to the topic at hand - yeah, lie detectors/polygraphs are interesting, but too dependent on a variety of variables to be considered reliable - especially in cases of different cultures, and subjective queries, like infidelities (i.e. the person can be so nervous even being asked the question on infidelities, that her reaction can be considered not truthful, even if she correctly responds to have been faithful. It's my opinion that such tests are a better indicator of 'larger' crimes, like theft, murder, etc....).
It makes for amusing entertainment on talk-tv, but they are not like DNA tests. I think better information can be gleaned from shadowing people, and investigating them the old fashioned way.

K69, I think a lot of the bros have made some very good points on this intereting thread.
Seems to be that most agree that a polygraph or other Techno lie detector would be pointless and likely counterproductive. Hiring a PI like TPE seems to be a more productive option and can be done covertly without loss of face for anyone etc.
Seems the real question is how do you deal with the "truth" when it is uncovered and what does this truth REALLY mean for your relationship with her.
In example...it is VERY likely that you will discover that she has a Thai BF even though she says she does not.
So what does that mean??
It COULD be construed to mean that she is a liar and untrustworthy person that should be kicked aside.
OR-
An alternative view could be that she is a nice Thai lady...telling you what you want to hear because she wants to get close to you. Yes she desires your money...if she didnt she would stay with some local broke ass Thai guy. Does a desire for your money mean she doesnt care for you?? Probably she does care for you or could LEARN to care for you after you have established that you care for her...IE provide money to her and family.
Just because she does have a BF does not mean that he is a great guy...maybe he is an asshole..AND broke.She is afraid to eb alone so she stays with him to reap whatever security rewards she can from him. Women all over the world are looking for the BBD. (Bigger Better Deal) Richer man,more handsome man,better lover,etc etc.
What about you? You are looking for a BBD....a hotter more caring Thai lady. I think this is the nature of people in general and not just Thais or men or women.

I am unclear if you intend to marry her and live in LOS or come to Falangland with her. Seems likely that you may have better luck staying in LOS with her regardless. If she goes to Falangland she may find lots of sexy men offered BBDs or she may simply hate our relatively cold and detached cultures and leave to return home.
Maybe determioning if she is lying isnt what you really want to know? Maybe you really wonder if your relationship would last?
Seems to me that a good way is to move to LOS and over time covertly give her a variety of tests. Tests that will display the strength of your relationship. Does she stay with you when you simulate being broke for a while and she actually helps you financially over a hump.Maybe fellow BTF bros occasionally offer her a simulated BBD and you see if it tempts her away.
Make sure you are asking the core question you seek the answer to before considering doing something that may damage what appears to be a nice relationship.

K69, she is lying to you. There is no doubt about that since that is the way she was raised. The only thing you need to determine is her intent on her lies. If they are there to ensnare you and part you from your money so that she and her TBF can spend it and f*** their time away on your dime, then I would not spend any more time with her. If, however, she is telling you the "noble lie" so that you feel better then she is only doing what she feels is the right thing based on her culture. If you give her a polygraph, then you are doing the wrong thing in her eyes. Your goal should be to ascertain which lies she is telling and determine why. I am sure she is banging someone while you are away, but that does not mean she cannot be a devoted woman to you in the future. My recommendation for you is to gain access to her e-mail without her knowing. How? Bring a laptop with software installed which has the ability to record keystrokes. Tell her you sent her an e-mail with important information you forgot at home. Check her e-mail later knowing you will find some e-mails from other men. Do not confront her with these e-mails. Go to Thaiprivateeye and have him find out information on these gentlemen. Put together your information and find out yourself why she is seeing these men. Are you just an ATM that will never be important to her (you're definitely an ATM regardless) ? If you still think there is a future, then make the move to Thailand and check up on her e-mail progress periodically. Under no circumstances should you ever divulge that you have this information. Then you can begin your brainwashing process where she will only lie to you when it is a pressing matter. Don't try to figure out why she will still lie to you. Just take it at face value that were you a Thai man who married her and she loved dearly, she would still lie. The difference is that the Thai man will not press her for information even if he knows what is happening. At the same time, she will expect you to bang many women and may ask you about them. You are expected to lie about them (unless you are in a rare relationship where all information is divulged). The best advice I can give you is to save your money on the polygraph and instead invest some of this money in educating yourself on Thai culture. In the end you will save yourself money, heartache and perhaps your relationship.

Well said cyborg. I may make that the title of my book I would like to write about los.
A good friend of mine that is a psychologist said essentially what you did about these women almost word for word.
I totally agree that moving over to los will resolve many things. I am heading over in May for either 3 or 6 months.
Even moving there it will still be a struggle. For example:
My brother has been living in Bangkok and he has had a tough time meeting a girl that will have sex before marriage that is not all about money. My brother is a nice looking guy (185 pounds, 8% bodyfat, 32 years old) but the women he meets fall into two catagories:
1. Professional women that are around 25 years of age that live in their parents shadow and are virgins. They actually share costs when he goes out on dates with them. But he doesnt want to court them for 2 years then get some ass.
2. All other women (bar girls, people working in hotel/resturants/foot massage, etc), when it gets serious between them, it becomes evident they would like to essentially quit work and live off of him.
Oldarmy, the email is a great. I am bringing a laptop when I come and will get some key logging software installed on it. That is a great idea, its free and very effective to see whats going on.
You know its now possible to send an email (you are the sender) to someone and make it look like it came from another sender. Say you are, well, atm#1@hotmail.com, well you can send her an email that on its face looks like it came from her other guy, atm#2@hotmail.com. Then when she responds it comes back to whatever email you want.
There is alot of good advice and good people in this forum. Thanks for the help. I fully see that the test is a bad idea for the multitude of reasons proposed by all the members.

I have been married for almost 6-7 years, of which the past 5-6 sex has been severely lacking. I had sex with my wife twice last year. Actually I have had more sex with my TGF in the last month then I have had with my wife in the last 5 years and I am only 31 with no kids.
I have a friend that was divorced for much the same reason and did say dont leave her for another person, which is good advice.
