MTK, dead on! Now that you say it, I remember suffering from something of the same affliction my first few years. It was almost like I was competing with other punters, or trying to pad my ego, rather than just having fun...
I remember one period spending way too much time trying to get Orbit style girls to go out with me. It can be done of course, with time and effort, but for a short-timer like me with only a modicum of sweet talking in me, and limited resources, it was just plain stupid. Thank goodness I'm over that. Not that I don't still enjoy visiting venues with stunners. I just don't worry anymore about going home with one of them. If it happens, great, if it doesn't, next.
Since this thread is about the "GFE" aspect of the LOS P4P scene, and not just whether the experience in general is getting better or worse, let me add this. No matter who you chose, or whomever choses you, treat her like a whore and she will end up treating you like a john. If you want a GFE experience, you have to remember to play it like a BF and show some respect and kindness.
And as I have said elsewhere several times, the fact that money may enter into the equation doesn't really change this basic dynamic, because in my experience I have almost always spent a lot of money on my GFs, one way or another. So the fact that a TG wants money, and I give her some, does not mean she's a "whore" in my book, or that I am a "john". Now if she won't kiss me, emits a lot of fake moaning, and forgets to help me on with my proverbial socks afterwards, then she may be; and if I treat her like she is just a piece of ass, grab her tits in a public place, and call her my little f*** toy to my buddies at the bar, well then I may be.
This is going beyond topic, but the fact is that these are labels used by puritans who try to suppress and criminalize what threatens their conventional (judeo christian) way of life. These same labels are used liberally by men who have no respect generally for women, or who may even deserve to be called misogynists. But they are over-simplifications either way and have very little to do with truth or lies when it comes to the LOS P4P scene.

Ummm. Well, I don't profess to be any expert either in how the lassies behaved yesterday...or much less today.
But, from my limited experience that when I first arrived in the kingdom the lassies were a good deal less commercial and more interested in providing what these days is called a girl friend experience.
Of course, even back 38 years ago there were all types: the GI go-go girls whose ambition was to cosy up to chaps on R&R, the massage girls few of whom parlezed English, and the G club ladies to whom one would be introduced by Thai business assocaites.
And yes, it was possible to meet so called "good girls"; although initially one would be chaperoned by an aunt or sister. I was partricularly partial to an army nurse for a while, until I switched to Thai Air stewardesses.

At the end of the day, what it comes down to is how you treat the girls, is a reflection on your own feelings of self-worth (or lack thereof), and consequently the way the girls will treat you accordingly -- all I can see from various responses here, as well as my limited experiences, that while the accoutrements have changed, the basic experience has not, if you have the right attitude.

No Quim does not nail it at all, he in no way explains why you can't be polite, kind or respectful to a girl whilst also acknowledging that she is a prostitute.
He does tell us a little about his life however. His failure with previous girls is because he is an Omega male, you are also an omega male.

This is just so funny on so many levels, you have no idea...
...but, since you are on a roll, please, do enlighten us as to what an 'alpha male' is (since I assume you consider yourself to be one, right?).
On the other hand, I was intrigued by your call of 'Omega Male', as I hadn't heard of it before, so I looked it up:
OMEGA MALE
The polar opposite of the Alpha Male. Omega Males can have friends and close acquaintances but prefer to accomplish things on their own without the help of a group. Omega Males generally don't belong to any cliques and have no desire to be the leader or most outstanding of said clique. Omega Males have relations with people from all groups and carry a resourcefulness and cunning (sometimes strength) to get a job done with their own skill.
This being said, an omega male can have great pride without it manifesting as "ego." (There are always exceptions.)
An Alpha Male MUST absolutely be perceived by his peers as the toughest, most popular, and smartest. An Omega Male cares little for this recognition...but knows that he is all those things and more.
Alpha males must have the support of his "boys." This can be the foundation for many shallow and superficial relationships. An Omega Male needs support from time to time, but has few true friends who know him intimately and generally shuns shallow acquaintences.
Yeah, sounds about right. That Alpha Male sounds pretty needy, if you ask me...

I'm not as experienced in the ways of engaging in relations with prostitutes as many of you. My first experience was only back in 2002 when I prematurely ejaculated into the mouth of a young lady at a small Phetchaburi Rd. massage establishment. But I have built upon this experience over many trips and feel I have enough experience to post my own response.
So, to answer the question, do I get the same GFE as years past? Yes. As my times doesn't go back that far I don't see too much of a difference. Mind you I mostly spend time at massage parlors or banging chicks off the street or in low class brothels, but there has been no noticeable decline in GFE. With the massage parlors I have cultivated friendships with a few girls now and find that on repeat visits it pays. I don't drink so am not into going to bars.
As far as the quality of the girls, I think when I first went there I did not know any better and maybe the girls that I was banging were not as good as it is now. I really enjoy banging chicks from Chiang Rai/Chiang Mai, I like their looks, and I now know where to find them. I've spent lots of time traveling around the NE, and although there are lots of great looking women there, I find that many of the NE chicks that I see prostituting themselves should really have stayed back on the farm.
And now I will go off topic for a moment. What we are engaging in is prostitution. I have money, possibly because I come from a rich industrialized country, and with that money I go to a poor industrializing country with nice looking women and pay them to have sex with me. Yes, you can couch this act in a lot of terms and cute phrases, but it is prostitution and the ladies are prostitutes. There is nothing wrong with that (except it may be against the law in Thailand, I'm not sure). But I think in a place like Thailand where the ladies have special charms, as opposed to say a 'crack whore' in the USA, that leads some men to delude themselves in thinking that they are in a non-prostitutal relationship, even though the lady is a prostitute and they are paying money for her services. As I see it Mr. Broken Leg nailed it completely in that you can treat a person nicely even though they are a prostitute. As a non-christian I believe it important to treat others as I wish to be treated, and this applies to prostitutes as well as others earning a living. I don't delude myself, by thinking my suave sophistication, good looks, a natty attire help me pull a 20 year old chick.

Dude, I think no one is questioning that -- of course we are engaging in prostitution, they are prostitutes, and we are their customers. Duh!
The point I am trying to make is there is a huge difference between repeatedly and boastfully calling them 'whore', 'bitch', 'c***', etc.... while beating your chest, versus jovially and charmingly enjoying the services they offer, and referring to them as 'women' or 'girls'. Sure, we all know they are prostitutes -- they know they are prostitutes as well, but that does not necessitate calling them that to their faces, and rubbing their faces in it -- especially if they are doing such a good job.
Granted, there are a whole bunch of guys who feel they need to do that, in order to boost their own sagging self-confidence in front of their friends and peers (I hear Alpha Males do that a lot) - then again, as they say, "it takes a village", and every village has got to have its idiots.

I didnt read all the posts here....but if the subject is what I think it is....my last trip I pulled a FL and spent a week with her...
she was super cool and pretty hot and I pretty much treated her like a GF...Ko Samet, Vertigo restaurant, JJ market etc and that was the best time I ever had with a girl in Thailand since moving back to the states.....
I paid her what I thought was fair on my last night and she was cool as hell (less than a 1000 baht a day plus the massages/hair styling/clothes I bought her)...and she even cried buckets when the taxi picked me up outside Citadines for the airport...she was a total sweetheart
