Help me understand one thing here. How do you know he is a short fat Welch builder? Pics? Email from her?
It would also complete the picture if was old, bald and drinks heavily.
I would not classify her in the player category. I put TG's in that category in ones that have no intentions of moving out of Thailand and get multiple sponsers.
Probably your girl is searching for a better life and will pick the best suitor. Nothing wrong with that. Being that she told you what is going on is a big step in credability.

Its what she does for a living... Learn to accept it or provide her with a lifestyle (preferably with you full time) where she does not have to do it..
I have emotional attachments with many great girls... Recently one went especially heavy on me and I was semi relieved to know she had a prior setup to head to Europe for a few months before we met...

At the time I was a little freaked at her attentions and also as she had never left Thailand (and Laos) before encouraged her to go and see me later... The situation is similar in that he is way older than her (but I am about her age plus after night 1 never did she ask me for money though I did take care of her) and to me its just a way for Thai girls to get out there and see the world, fill a wardrobe, get some sponsors, get some experience.
Currently I am not looking for any heavy emotional commitments so it was not painful for me in the same way it may be for you but when she phoned crying from the airport the day she was flying to Europe it did pull a string or two..
If the girl loves you (and she may) set her free... if she comes back she is yours... If she does not she never was !!!
Relax and try and not worry too much... Love is short.. Thailand is full of wonderful women (but the diamonds ARE worth holding onto)... Dont let it twist your head like a typical Euro or Yank... It takes a while but you get the swing of Thailand soon enough...

I think if you read the email, you'd go right back to the other side of the equation. Only she and I know what has gone between us, but trust me on this one -- her heart is every bit as much in play as mine is.
Not to flatter myself or sound arrogant, but there are more than a couple of ladies competing for my affections at the moment and she is the only one who is a prostitute; attracting women has never been a problem for me. Believe it or not there are those of us who are plenty capable of seducing women outside of the p4p arena, but for a variety of reasons find pleasure in the company of someone who is sexually very sophisticated and uninhibited.
Sure, the girls tell almost everyone he is a hansum man, but did you ever stop to think in some cases it might actually be true? Actually she described him as:
well he is 31 years old from Wales,he is a builder,a house (he do business with other friend) I don't care about how much money he has...but when I spend time with him,,,,he seems like still a little boy...eat a lot of food ( he is a little bit fat and short) and get angry easily too....i don't think we can fit for each other.......
I don't know if he is bald but she loves my hair and always comments how other men must be jealous of it, so that may be the case. He is Welsh, so I imagine drinking heavily would go with the territory (hehe, just kidding my Welsh brothers). He is closer to her age than I am, but I think that factor is actually working against him rather than for him.
Keep in mind that I have never really asked about him; this is all information she has volunteered to me because she is trying to be honest.

Well, maybe the word 'player' isn't the right one. I guess I'm just referring to a girl who knows the way the game is played, making sure that one punter doesn't completely drop off the fence while she is temporarily out-of-play. Or telling PunterA that she has to go with PunterB to take care of her family, but PunterB is bald, fat and stupid and her heart is really with PunterA.
Maybe even calling it a "game" is unfair, as the girl is looking out for her best interests. If she can do this and it's acceptable and believable to all parties, I say more power to her. Good for her!
My original post in this thread was that making the girls promises, telling them they are the only one, profess undying love, making them think you are there for them emotionally, etc. is how they get hardened. I stand by this position.

Harry, I suggest you go back to your post that started this thread. It should be clear to you why she lapsed in her replies for 4 days, you know she was giving a GFE to a now-satisfied customer, who I'm certain paid her more than 1000 baht per day. When you called her it 3am, you know she was with a customer, not a 'friend'. She was doing you a service not telling you these things, she assumes you know, but she knows it is her job to tell one customer "I no have other customer", "I go see family", "I no love other man, only you", etc.
You called her beautiful, you said the sex was fabulous, and gave her an average of only 1000baht per day, were with her 24/7 (and you said you even did her in the ass) ! Wow, I can see why this gave you the impression she was not all about money. If all of this is tru, you really have a good deal going here, but you have to know that the treatment you were getting was the GFE (girl-friend experience). The key word there is 'experience'. It is something that when it happens, you believe it is real and you enjoy it. Convincing, isn't it?
She did nothing to break your heart, you did this to yourself by coming back to falangland and believing your GFE was real, she is not to blame. She probably sensed you really liked the attention she gave you, and she did and said what she thought you would like. It worked. She did what you asked of her (above and beyond, probably) and you paid her for. I suggest you get yourself sane by:
a) Forgetting about what she does to make money, forgetting about other guys she sees, forgetting about how she makes money. All this needs to be forgotten in order to enjoy yourself! When you go back to BKK, if she is there, see her, get the GFE and then go home. Don't make promises to her, don't give her anything to rely on emotionally and don't expect her to have you as a part of her life when you are not in Bangkok. It is not fair to her. If she's not in BKK, there are other girls who will be happy to give you the GFE.

b) Quit your job, dump your permanent falang girlfriend and move to BKK and invest in her emotionally and see if this will work between you and her.
If, after doing "a) " above, then you can do "b) ", that is OK too, but don't be on the fence.
The choice, as always, is "up to you", but anything in-between these two choices is really unfair to you and to her, in my opinion.
Just one man's view from 35,000 feet (literally, I just love Internet access from up here, it makes cross-country flights go much faster).
