Personally I do see some validity in comparing Bush with Hitler in that the foreign policy statements (and actions) coming from the US rather seem to imply that the american way is the only way and anyone who disagrees can f*** off.

Not even close, unless you can demonstrate how Bush was advocating, in context, organized genocide in the speech he was giving at the time.
It appears that very few people that use the Hitler card actually have a solid grasp on what 'Hitler' and 'Nazis' actually means. Hint: it ain't pretty, and it's nowhere close to what Bush represents or does.
