Ok, so which statistics do you have in mind when you say that. Qualify your statement. I doubt you can, and in fact you generalized as much as JonhNM, in fact more so because you didn't relate your statement to a specific example. This is all I meant to point out.

Myself I cannot win. I have black,asian,Greek,Latino etc etc in my family. They are the ones I know about! Heinz 57 varieties. Race is not about colour its about culture. Not a black and white issue. I am white with green eyes and reckon most of you lot are from North America. One rarely hears English spoken in some parts of London these days. When it comes to the latter (material things), I don't think Thai women have that disease worse than other women I've met.
It's hard to make good comparisons. If you compare young urbanites in Thailand vs. young urbanites in America, maybe they're the same. If you compare Isaan farm girls vs. rural girls from Indiana or North Carolina, maybe their the same. However, I think Bkk and big-city life is a much more dominant aspect of Thai culture than it is in America.
The other difficulty is that Thai people have clearly become much more materially minded in the past few decades. Often this is blamed on America, so perhaps they are just catching up. It may seem they are grossly material, just because our minds relate to what it was like (or the fantasy of what it was like) 30 or 50 years ago.

Well I didn't think I need to point out specific examples because the conclusions are, or should be, pretty obvious.
I can think of a thousand categories where BGs are statistically different than the average TG. Here are just a few:
1) more likely to have had children
2) more likely to have had children outside of marriage
3) more likely to speak Lao
4) more likely to be poorly educated
5) more likely to have an STD
6) more likely to have had multiple sexual partners
7) more likely to have been sexually abused as a child
8) more likely to have a darker natural skin tone
9) more likely to flaunt Thai social customs
10) more likely to be drug user
....
These all should be obvious (and I can go on for a hundred more). If there are one or two you disagree with, please give your reasons (which may be mitigating factors I hadn't though of).
Many of these differences are due to BGs coming from poor backgrounds and specifically from Isaan (e.g. darker skin, etc.). But that doesn't make the differences any less important.
If you wanted to, you could make a comparison instead of BGs vs. all Isaan Farm Girls. That would rule out some of the things I mentioned (e.g. skin color), but it still leaves many more and especially big ones such as:
1) more likely to have been sexually abused as a child
2) more likely to have an STD
3) more likely to sleep with men for money
4) more likely to have unstable relationships with men
5) more likely to steal from you
6) more likely to lie to you
...
And, of course, statistically there are some things that we may find more desireable about them:
5) more open-minded sexually
6) more adventurous
7) speak better english
8) understand farang culture better
...
I really don't understand how you can argue that BG are the same as non-BGs when you look at it statistically. It's just absurd and self-delusional to think so.
That doesn't mean that you can't find a BG who goes against all the statistics. That is the whole meaning of statistics and why I don't say things like "All BGs are liars." When someone points out "My BG is different" I'll say good for you (but the odds are against it and I wouldn't recommend that risk for anyone else).
I once walked across Sukhumvit with my eyes closed in the middle of the day and wasn't hit by a car. If you want to defy statitistics and probability and try the same thing on the basis of one anecdote, be my guest.

I think not. We are not what we quote. Were I to go through the signature quotes on thos board and apply your peculiar logic I'd be forced to conclude that many of the brethren keep their brains in their little heads at the business ends of their utterly satyriasis-stricken weapons, which is not good for cognition, brain-mass wise. And that conclusion might just might be more accurate than your assertion that quoting F.N. makes me a jackbooted stormtrooper with an Order of Blood at my throat.
PS I have been known from time to time to ;isten to Wagner. German culture contains much that is right and good and thoroughly untainted by Nazism. Nicht wahr?

While I have been known to frequent societies that employ birchs along with tawses, malaccas, and dressage bats, the John Birch Society was never one of my interests. I found them tedious and like Joe McCarthy, an embarassment to the cause of anti-communism. (Someone dragged me to one meeting ages ago in New Orleans. Boring.)

I notice that you have heard of the Illuminati et al. If I ever mention such subjects I usually get blank stares or "Oh you're one of those Conspiracy Buffs!"
