HArry, I have not read the whole thread, but does she have the UK visa for sure, if she says yes, get her to show you. She may be bullsh_tting, they are not easy to get you know, even with welchers help.

NM.. Sorry mate but they are not tough to get at all...
I have done it twice.. Both times without interview and took about 2 hours from the queue outside to the promise to collect passport that afternoon..
My brother has done it twice to england.. first time interview second time none.. He has also taken his girl to NZ and Holland (schengen) and they are now in Rep of IRL.
The USA seems like fortress America for visa's but Europe is pretty easy if you can guarantee for her (not much money either)..

Oh, I thought Uk was similar to Oz, its damn hard to get a tg in there that has no background of travel or such, near impossible actually unless you make the committment. I had read of others taking the long hard road to get a gf into UK, especially for a tourist visa and short term etc. Good to hear though if that is not the case.

Right the USA would like you to think that they are so socially concerned, but the real reason is that they do not anymore people to become a financial burden to the government and could give a rats ass about exploitation.
Having gone through the process, they make you sign up for financial responsibilitry.
Also Thais can get VISA's easy if they have enough assets her in Thailand so they can guarantee that they won't be a runner.

Just a story. Earlier this year in april in Pattaya on the beach there was a thai girl with a load of friends celebrating that she was going to marry a Falang.
