Canyon - Ok, can go with that attitude - used to be some not bad bars/cafes upstairs around Siam square that were good, the approach however is to start of by talking to a group of them, even if you do get around to asking them to go somewhere [ food/ MK Suki always a good bet ] again invite the group, that way they dont feel threatened, and are more likely to go along - you can then start to narrow down the numbers from there.

wow, so this is the info i've been looking for all along!

Starbucks, Langsuan... was there yesterday and today... awesome eye candy!! but a bit depressing coz I often leave this kind of places with the feeling to be mostly doing the trash of thailand...
MS, at your age U definetely have options... silom soi 4 or RCA are places to try. speaking thai or going out with locals should help. Met my fav TGF in RCA while going out alone so locals are not a must. Even ig going out with western friend u have chances. Many hookers go there so don't be overenthusiastic about every girls staring at U if U're looking for a bird out of the scene
On a side note I got much less succesful going out in Thong Lor with model types thai male friends, so not much of a rule but 22 is a very good age to have free fun in Thailand. and thong Lor likely the area in BKK where u see most stunners.

At this point I would love to tell you how "handsum" I am, alluring etc etc.
But truly,, it is not that hard if you begin " soft.....",, ahh you and your friends nice to talk with ( Puu ying dee mak mak) yes pretend your thai is inexperienced. Kin khao mai ( point to all the ladies)
Worst scenerio they so no,,,

Harold... you must be going past the wrong MK sukis.. or at the wrong times ! They are great as all TGs love to eat, also they are pretty cheap, and also the TGs can order, eat what they like - and often there is even something a farang can enjoy - As to trying to convince a relatively 'straight' TG to go out with you, for the first time, MK would be the best bet to get started -
MS116- Sorry can't rattle of a list of places these days, as Ive been out of Bkk a year, and the trendy joints do change fast - but some points to remember are
1. By and large TGs are too polite to ever turn down a question or request, so if you ask one something - 99% of the time she will reply. Just something basic like where is the nearest MK will do !
2. within 10 seconds of conversation, they will ask you if you have a TG - Under NO circumstances say yes ! [ They never do - In 10 years of asking - I only ever had one TG say to me 'yes, I have a boyfriend' - ]
3. Never admit to knowing where Nana or Patpong are to a relatively straight TG.
4. Ask for their mobile number, they are always happy to give it if they are even slightly interested - and they love sending / receiving texts
5. You need to do this 'groundwork' away from the tourist area - The Mall Rhamkamheng is good, or in fact any of the outer Malls, such as Bangna,PinGaow, or closer to the center, the area around Victory Monument, 100 shops soi - and of course the time for this type of excursion should be 4-7pm [ after school ] Many Thai students are in the 19-25yr bracket, and alot are only on part time courses, - If they do go out at night, it will normally only be Friday or saturday - A good time to go to a nightclub is when a popular thai singer is giving a concert - as they all do around bangkok regularly - check with the likes of Hollywood/Dance Fever etc as to when the next concert is on ; If its a girl singer, will be packed with thai guys, hence go when its a guy singing !

prostitutes allegedly studying in Rahm... think I met at least two only last week -likely more... one is still sleeping next room...
how much she's on the game is still subject to debate but I still need someone's advice...
Anyone heard about Rahmkameang week end courses where they check the attendance and can graduate in 2and a half year rather than 4? ( gotta be bachelor degree then!?!) It costs 800 bht per unit which is close to ABAC's prices and disproportionnate to Rahm's usual fees?
Have U heard of it or it's total and utter BS??
U may wonder why I have some doubts, especially that even by thai standards the girl seems neither smart nor well schooled... only coz she called someone early saturday morning to ask him/her to sign the presence sheet for her.
May also wonder why I care... coz I wouldn't mind packing her up for a short trip to Sri Lanka over next WE but she claims she's got mid term exams and can only leave on sunday evening, a date to which I could adapt BTW, but would rather not

I know they do have weekend and/or shortened courses, and yes, you get some kind of degree ; but it is not univerally recognized. Many checkout cashiers in Thai supermarkets have a degree in accounting ! Also, yes, they do have to sign in, as usually attendance, rather than knowledge, is the key to 'graduating' - and of course many are staying in Bangkok at the parents expense, and need the family to believe they are attending school as per the programme !

Thanks for the input... I tend to believe her and what U say makes much sense... It seems she doesn't intend to open a book and hasn't failed her exams so far. Doubt it's because she's partuclary bright. Any idea if 800/unit is possible?? Think usual rates in Rahm are around 30bht/unit... Sometimes I wonder how people will get the money back from their studies, this one doesn't look like a great deal.
