To RamKamhaeng you can ad a few of the Technical schools, too, a few of them the girls would be eager to go out with Farangs--but again, if they think he has some money and can ease their load of school and part time job. Of course, even a guy who isn't supergoodlooking or great with Thai can find a good girlfriend if he sincerely applies himself... But most guys on this forum, as you say, are just looking for a uniform and an illusion. Not a girlfriend. I doubt many would relish the long middle-class meetings with family, etc, that a real relationship would eventually incur.
There are, as you and TPE mentioned, plenty of part timer/fake (lying) "students" out for some action. A clever working girl will tell you anything you want (works at Lotus or part time student) if she thinks it gets you off into paying her.

IMO these last few posts from ThaidUp, seajohn and the quote from TPE show more insight than can normally be found in an entire thread elsewhere.
ThaidUp's comparison of a normal social gathering being like something from "junior high" is spot on. I recently asked a 30 something Thai office girl how she would go about approaching a male co-worker she fancied.
The response brought back vivid memories of my high school days - 30 years ago! First you find out if he is available and looking. This is done by finding a friend who has a friend in his work area and the male is approached and informed that he has a secret admirer (and it is kept secret at this stage) and confirmation is sort that he is truly available and interested.

Your powers of observation are once again laser-like. I have no social skills, no uniforms but I do have voBKa!!
However, why is this shy behaviour considered a negative? I don't see Thai culture offering the 14-18 year old student many social opportunities to allow "dating". As a consequence, many are socially inept. It also would give some explanation as to why many girls fall head over heels for their first love, get knocked up and then are looking for money in P4P to support a child that the "man" doesn't take 5 mins to think about!
I'll meet you in Bacarra... they have school uniforms upstairs and I have been tutoring a couple of students there for awhile!!

JA, I see nothing wrong with it and it leaves the real players like Abrak and Singolo the hard task of shooting fish out of a barrel.
The flip-side as you allude to is that once you get one of these uni-girls she has a high probability of becoming a fatal attraction as if she already jumped or should I say fell down the social ladder nothing could be worse than you dumping her. Which many times leads to very violent outrages.
I think Bacarra is the best choice for most guys here unless you live in Thailand and understand a lot of the social dynamics here.

I've been to the LOS many, many times. What keeps me going back is not that every time I find exactly the girl I am looking for... it's because I know it can be done, and there have been some fine ones.
