Some time ago I was sitting in Shark bar in soi Cowboy enjoying the last swigs of beer with a friend, when I overheard a guy enquiring about the cost of short time.
"1,500 baht," was the answer.
To which he replied, "You're joking ! "
It was after 2 a.m., nearer to 3 a.m., and the immediate response was, "O.K., 1000 baht."
"Done," said the happy guy.
Needless to say, my friend and I returned the following day.

Last week I was quoted 20k by the mamasan at Deja Vu on Soi Cowboy for a cute, but nothing special, gogo dancer. According to the mamsan "She wirgin (sic) ". Is this common?
