I know some may not like the idea of paying in advance, but try seeing from the point of view of the girl. She's probably wondering all through the session whether or not she will get paid. I have encountered a few advanced payment requests and they have been positive so far.

Maybe this was a way of her checking that you had not already paid the taxi driver for her services, because if that was the case, you would not pay twice. (But that would not explain the subsequent time though).
I hate doing business with taxi drivers. Last visit saw something kicking off when stupid farang gave taxi driver 10,000 in advance for a certain substance and one hour later he got a small bag of washing powder. Yes, farang shouldn't do drugs etc etc, but example of business with taxi drivers and paying for things in advance. Everyone seems to want a slice of cake, no matter how small the slice or what the cake is... farangs beware....

Demand for pay up front always means a pimp is involved. I NEVER go with girls who have pimps. I want the girl to get all my money, pure and simple.
In the situation the OP described, it sounds like the girl was the taxi driver's wife or girlfriend. Yuck.
Look, in Thailand the sex workers are crawling out of the woodwork. There is absolutely NO reason to involve Thai guys in any aspect of your f***ing (um, unless that's what you like, but that's another topic, haha!).

Whether you knowingly involve a Thai guy or not, a Thai guy is always involved. You'll find one in thousand, a girl who does not have a mangda. Only the financially smart ones don't deal with these mangdas who pretend to be bfs. And it is not easy to find people who're money smart.

I am not sure I accept that, as vox, drl, or onera suggest, that this necessarily must have involved a pimp, escort, or mangda. LOS is more complicated and variable than that. There are few situations that "must" be one way or another. Part of the reason I love the place so much. Perhaps this was a "family" arrangement....
That said, I do not prefer paying up front as I only associate it with bad experiences, some very bad. And I have never paid up front in LOS that I can recall, although it may have happened without incident (hence the lack of recall). Still, I am more than willing to credit BK's opinion and experience that some girls may feel safer asking for it up front, and will still deliver on the back end... certainly sounds like QQ got his money's worth.
Which reminds, me, how much did you pay QQ, just curious? I am also not sure why you concluded that she was not a Uni... nothing in what you reported suggested that she couldn't have been. Unless of course you are assuming that all uni students are naive and don't like to f***.
But like Romeland, I'm just not sure I would ever bother trusting a cab driver in LOS. Let alone a TukTuk driver. But QQ's story makes me think perhaps I should reconsider.

I had a newbie mate that kept insisting to the girls he met that they ask to be paid up front, like they do in Farang-land. WTF! No amount of education could convince the guy to cut that crap out. He will never be asked back on my jaunts
At what stage does a taxi driver get his commission for taking you to a MP...straight away? If so I want one of these sleaze-balls to take me to one, he gets his commision and goes. After after 5 minutes of viewing the girls i'm gonna piss off too, hoping he'll have to refund the MP

ITs funny what you guys say about all those girls having thai boyfriends. Last trip I spent an evening with some girls I know since a few years, and asked them about their boyfriends...one had one and said it was a real headache as he was very demanding on her sexually speaking when going home when she was allready tired from her day working.
The other girls said something along the line "no have, it cost too much money to have one you know..." And also the girls were teasing one particular (and very attractive) girl because she never had to pay any thai guy to f*** her and did not need boyfriend as she was so lucky that she could have the good looking farangs and managed to come many time each day this way...having been with her many time I can confirm this to be true...
