I've spent a couple of nights at that hotel in the past. Not sure I would have recognized him if he took the same elevator.
Ironic he was in a movie titled "My Suicide" in 2008. Maybe thats where he got the idea!

personally bummed about this. Was fortunate to know him casually over the past 20 years. He stayed at the hotel I work at a couple times a year and would come out and shoot the breeze with us while waiting for his ride. Remember him being severely wrecked many times in years past and always good for a laugh. Hoping to get some undiluted info in the days to come since I'll be at the Nai Lert Park in 5 days

'Kung Fu' star Carradine dead
American actor David Carradine has been found dead in a closet in a hotel room in Bangkok.
Police have not confirmed whether he took his own life or was murdered.
The naked body of the 72-year-old actor was found by a housekeeper in a closet in room number 352 of Swissotel Nai Lert Park Hotel in the Lumpini area at 11am yesterday.
Lumpini police said the body of Carradine was found curled up inside the wardrobe with one end of a shoelace tied around his penis and the other end fastened around his neck.
Both of his hands were bound with a cord which was also tied around his neck, said an officer at the station who requested anonymity.
Forensic experts said Carradine had probably died between 12 and 24 hours before his body was found.
They said there were no injury marks on his body and no evidence of a struggle having taken place in the room. Mysteriously, a footprint found on the bed did not match the shoes worn by Carradine.
There was a glass of water in the room. Experts were checking to see if the drink had been tampered with.
Police refused to give further details, saying they needed to gather more evidence to determine the cause of death.
Carradine was in Bangkok to star in a new movie, Strand.
He arrived with a film crew in Bangkok and checked in at the hotel a few days ago.
He rose to fame in the TV series Kung Fu, which ran from 1972 to 1975, playing Kwai Chang Caine, a monk and martial arts expert who roamed the American West.
He went on to win a Golden Globe best actor award for his role in the movie Bound for Glory, the life story of folk singer Woody Guthrie, in 1976.
He also starred in the Quentin Tarantino films Kill Bill: Vol. 1 and Kill Bill: Vol. 2, made in 2003 and 2004.

My dad and I took my young nephew to a autograph signing he did in Atlanta...back in '05...
my dad tried to talk about the "kung fu" days and he was pretty rude, but my nephew could quote his entire career...
my judgement was that he didnt want to be at a "gamer store" retail opener...I guess he probably got flight, room in Marietta GA and 3K...but wasnt ecstatic about it as he was not cool except to the younger guys...
he signed my nephews's samurai sword for free, when he was asking 150$ a sig on that...but my dad owned the strip mall it was in and his tenant basically explained it and he took picks with my nephew and all in all it was a good day.....
we all have crazy thoughts in our heads...all of us and we cant speculate what made him want to end it....
If my wish came true, it would be in a place I owned in Thailand when I realized I cant live this life without help...
I would rather cash in my chips and see what the buffet in the sky is all about....me personally I just want to go out with people thinking good thoughts about me as opossed to changing my colostimy bag and going out of their way to make me "have fun"
when fun is watchng TV an having nobody bother me and my maid taking care of the details...but I dont even want to get to that point...
If you asked me now...cash my chips out at 78 and thats it......fun life.....done...dealer please cash my chips in!!!
my asian wife will still mid 70's (looking mid 60's) and can have all the insurance and even get an old rich dude 
thats just me!!!!!!!
